Blue Jays GDT: Opening Day!

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

So close!

I'm actually really happy with that lineup. I always half expect them to give opening day starts to veterans over the young guys, so part of me still thought they would have Straw in CF with one of Wagner/Roden on the bench.

I would still prefer one of them in the leadoff spot, but they've got the right guys starting today, and the batting order is good enough.
They’ll let ‘em work their way up, and hopefully good seasons abound for the whole lineup.

Springers an interesting guy, and at this time of year, hope springers eternal. Maybe as a middle lineup guy, they tell him just go up ripping. He had a nice stretch last year when he focused on pulling the ball.

Also, a quick reminder that raw numbers definitely matter but they take time to get there. So, a 70/15/70 season would be pretty great for either or any of the kids to hit…which would be a wind down year for the springers of the world. Gotta keep it in perspective as the year moves along and hope for a good long lineup producing.

Go Jays gooooooo.

Been feeling more optimistic about this team in recent weeks, here's hoping a big Opening Day W sets them off on the right track.
Best time of the season for sure.

Glass is half full for a lil while….hopefully we get lots of reason to stay there.
