McDavid lead the playoffs in points back to back seasons. Draisaitl scored like 4 playoff overtime goals. These 2 are a big reason Edmonton got this far both years. You would of thoight they would put up a better fight in the Finals after they outplayed Dallas in the Conferene Finals... Hyman was a big loss for them. Oilers are more than just a 2 man team, they just aren't as good as the Panthers. No need to dunk on McDavid & Draisaitl.

I guess you're trying to say Jack should strategically get injured right before the trade deadline, then get an injury that will allow him to be back for the playoffs?

Florida can use Barkov only to shutdown Kucherov/McDrai/Matthews and then they have two good lines to feast on the rest of the lineup. If prime Nico can play the Barkov role even somewhat, then you'd have Hughes for one line but you're completely missing a 3rd line that could contribute.

Barkov is the beast.

Third line should exist. This season without Jack we barely had second. First line outplayed canes. (Don’t you dare, My3sons)

Bobrovsky is the top goalie of his period in NHL, three times Stanley cup finalist in a row and two times winner in a row.

Congrats again to the Panthers. They played well as a team and had contributions from everywhere. Jones and Marchand were both great showing that the likely way to win is to load up on LTIR at the deadline and have a lineup that could not exist in thr regular season. TB did it. Vegas did it and now so did Florida. The league might want to look at the issue unless they are ok with the criticissm.

We used to have top 5 center depth in the league. Jack, Nico, MM all core players. Fitz did NOTHING to replace his 3C and it’s been 1.5 seasons. Again, if we can find a replacement for MM, we are two years away from winning the Stanley Cup.

I may have been the biggest McLeod fan/supporter on this board.

But the guy was a "3C" for all of 45 games. If that. And the team stunk that season. The team stunk every season but one that he was here.

Well I'm way ahead of you on that last one, lol. I made the conscious decision to stay off the socials. Not having to feel obligated to share your opinion makes you feel free.

As for the subject at hand, things change. They seemed to have figured out something. The NHL reminds me of the NBA ten years ago, when it was nothing but Cavs/Warriors as far as the eye can see.
