They're not small. They were plenty physical. Florida also had shaky goaltending at times. Devils aren't the only team with finishing issues.

Both Jack and Jesper dodge away from hits. With Jacks injury history its fine and understandable. Jesper sometimes has more physical shifts.

If we have Jack, Luke, Jesper and Dougie on the ice, who's going to be physical?
