The series went game 7 with Florida only winning 2-1. The home teams dominated. Florida we t 3-1 at home and Edmonton going 2-1 at home. Edmonton lost 4-3 at home then won 8-1 and 5-1. It’s not crazy at all to say Edmonton probably wins that series if home ice was flipped.

I thought LA would finally take them down this time, mostly because of Skinner and how many years in a row can you lose to the same team?

But I’ve pretty much had them in the cup finals since they beat LA.

That said, they still aren’t in the cup finals yet. This series could go on a while.

If they somehow still had McLeod/Holloway/Broberg instead of Nurse I think they would’ve been my clear cut favorite for the west and probably Cup favorite.

Proof divisional playoffs suck #10000 this would’ve been a first round matchup 1-8 and we probably end up having leafs or Tampa against panthers conference finals.

I don’t think the leafs would’ve crushed the canes like this but I do think they beat them pretty easy in 5 or 6. That’s gotta sting for their fans

The last 4 games of that series featured two 5 goal wins by the Panthers and two games were Joseph Woll had to play out of his mind. I don’t think the result would be very different. The Leafs won two games because Bob was bad.

I don't think. Watched the series, Florida were better. Overall they were pretty dominanted team all the play off.
There were still three - ONE & two - ONE for both teams. I'm not do hard on this kind of a magic, puck and home feelings. Better believe in better team who won it and played better.
