OOT scoreboard 2025 playoff edition

Skinner started out looking very shaky last night, giving up huge rebounds about 5 to 10 feet in front of him during the first period. Looking like a deer in the headlights and then the puck hits him and bounces in front. As the game went on we stopped seeing that.

He had several other moments when he got out of position after a wrap around and lay there like a beached whale but the play fortunately moved away from him.

Both of Edmonton’s first two goals were fortunate bounces. In the first period, a blocked shot deflects perfectly right to the scorer on the power play, with an open net in front of him, as if it were a seam pass. On the second goal, Kulak has his shot blocked and it bounces right at his feet as he continues skating, as if put on a Tee for the scoring shot. A 1 in 100 perfect bounce.

Florida hasn't played that great at home these playoffs so I wouldn't be shocked if they drop this one. I'd like to see them be a bit more physical this game.

I don’t even hate Carolina as much as most of this board, but this losing streak in the conference finals is so hilarious and absurd that I really don’t wanna see it snapped. It truly is a thing of comedy.

And so was that fluky own goal.

It is kind of hilarious to me Skinner's wins this playoffs have all been shutouts. He either stops everything or nothing.
Are Marty’s 7 shutouts in the 2003 playoffs still the most shutouts a goalie has had in a playoff year?

It would be hilarious if Skinner somehow broke that this year with 8 shutouts. He needs 7 more wins for the cup win. Only 5 more shutouts to break that.

It would be hilarious if he only had two wins that weren’t shutouts in this playoff run.

It would be even more hilarious if he broke it with 8 shutouts, despite losing in the cup finals. And if he had zero non-shutout wins in these playoffs.

3 in a 7 Game Final wasn't good enough for a Conn Smythe.

We all know that a strong WCF against Minnesota is where you make your money in this league.

Yeah, still bitter.

Refs doing their best to help the Canes let's see if they can take advantage of it
I’d argue it’s not so much that as they are starting to realize they should probably intervene when the Panthers try thug tactics. All the same, if you pull off that weak of a major penalty power play, no amount of ref effort is going to help.
