I say don’t call any plays dead for offsides that are bang bang and close. If a goal is scored the team will challenge it accordingly. Wonder how many good onsides plays were blown dead incorrectly. Whistle it dead for obviously offsides

Definitely agree. They really should just go back to letting the linesmen making the call. They don’t miss many obvious offsides. The game shouldn’t come to a complete standstill over a player being a quarter of an inch offside. Or like someone else said the league can review each goal.

Reason why the challenge system is stupid. Panthers now don’t have a timeout to correct a mistake the officials made.

Did they have to take a timeout to challenge no but it’s stupid you penalize them for getting it wrong. Playoffs all goals should be reviewed by league

Forget just playoffs I want something like VAR that's used in soccer in all games. It eliminates stupid shit like the refs reviewing a goal and calling it a goal or no goal just to have a coach challenge it. Just have everything reviewed upstairs as well and don't drop the puck until it's 100% confirmed and save everyone's time.
