its crazy to see how one team has a monopoly over another whats impressive is thats a lot of matchups before the switch back to division play

I’m kind of sick of hearing “Core four” like they’re some kind of Yankees dynasty.
And I really don’t blame those guys so much. I probably wouldn’t bring back Tavares if I were them, especially if he’s gonna want some contract like Stamkos got last summer.
But it looks like Marner is already gone, so maybe they can bring Tavares back at something reasonable.
I think Dubas deserves a ton of blame up there. So glad the old, slow and rudderless team in-division is run by this jerkoff.

imagine paying nylander 11.5M, we have jesper bratt at home. (He's not an anchor or anything, and NHL stars are underpaid in general, but in a world of underpaid stars, a fairly paid guy is a disadvantage).
problem in general is you're kinda stuck. not sure how well you're going to be able to retool even with Marner and Tavares' money off the books. you really need to rebuild that defense imo, and you need like 2 complete forward lines

It probably won’t happen but I hope they re-sign Tavares and Marner, keep it going. Keep all that cash locked up so they can’t address other issues.

They are screwed regardless, but that actually might be their best option. Unrealistic, but say they get discounts on Marner $12, Tavares $5, Knies bridge $7. Hope Knies continues rapid dev. Add a dman mid season and pray. Highly unlikely those guys take discounts, but I'd say that would have a better shot at contending than:
Marner gone. Knies at $9, Tavares $6. $5 left to add middle D and $5 to backfill Marner via UFA since they lack trade chips.
Or same as above but also let Tavares walk and still be stuck trying to add 2 top 6 pieces in UFA...one of which needs to be a top 6 C.

Ha! Ha! Gadjovich and Greer both played for the Comets. Ex-Comets playing for the Cup with a team that's not the affiliate that they played for in Utica.
Greer was the heart and soul of the 21-22 Comets. Can't believe he wasn't better than at least 1 single guy in the Devils' bottom 6. He's been a full season member of Boston (61GP), Calgary (59 GP), and Florida (81GP) in the 3 seasons since then.
Should the Panthers win it again, Gadjovich will have earned his 2nd ring!

Almost as funny as the 'Wendell Clarkson' cover that one of their tabloid papers put out at the time.
The thought of Marner signing somewhere else and immediately winning is pretty tantalizing. Although I'm not sure how many good teams will have the space for him.

He has been in the playoffs practically every season of his career. He knows how things go, is low maintanance and seemingly a solid team first player.
Also, Florida doesn't pick up shit players. They must have seen something in him.
Dallas is the most deserving, since they have played more hockey in the past 6 years than any other team.
Oilers would be another deserving, since they already visited the finals and probably don't have too many years left.

Did he bring up f***ing LeBron? This is important for me to decide whether or not to watch it.
$100 million for one loud, obnoxious person instead of putting it towards stuff that doesn't suck. That's money well spent, Disney/ESPN.
