Yeah it was unfortunately the wrong coach at the wrong time. He could only do so much.

He fell in love with the role players from the 2012 team and it took too long to move them out of roles they were suited for. Often a story with coaches and why the average tenure of a coach is about 2.5 years.

Little late posting this but another reminder that the nhl kicking motion rule is totally stupid and pointless

First Noway in hell that is a kicking motion secondly who cares if it goes in off buck? You think he’s sitting there thinking hey that was kicked I’m not going to try and stop the puck it will get called back. Comical comical comical.

You can kick the puck anywhere on the ice at any time. You can even kick the puck to a team mate in the crease legit soccer style kick and as long as the teammate puts it in the net it’s a good goal or you can kick it to your stick and score yourself. Heck the d man can kick the puck safely out of the crease just as easily as the offensive team So again where’s the safety concern? Just save everyone time energy and confusion let the goals all stand
