It was worse - Rielly does make an attempt on the puck, but his stick's never on the ice. It's not a 'shooting motion' in my mind, but whatever can justify not a penalty (non-Devils edition).

I would be ok with the Mercer call if they called that because it shows consistency but when you call one thing that ends a team's season but another team doesn't get called for it in a series where a 3-0 lead is virtually over for Florida.

It's certainly possible if Stolarz misses the rest of the series, probably would have been tougher if not

Toronto looks like the more talented, skilled, and dangerous team especially when you get past the top 6 players. Florida is not as deep at both forward and on D. Toronto skates better and If the refs continue to not put them in the penalty box I think they have an advantage. But the puck is taking crazy bounces.

An X factor is if Bobrovsky continues to play the way he did after goal #3. He was the difference in letting them survive til the game winning goal, making beautiful stops on Neise on a breakaway and probably at least 3 other Grade A chances too.

This is shaping up as a very entertaining series. This is a different Toronto team than prior editions and they may have the mental toughness to win this.

Yeah, I’m not convinced they aren’t yet. I might be if the Leafs win game 4 though.
