The oilers are giving up 3.75 goals against per game. I was going to rhetorically ask if we’re really gonna have a team that leaky win the Stanley cup. Then I saw that every team in the second round is averaging >3 GA per game in the playoffs so far.
Teams this year are not playing the way we are normally accustomed to in the playoffs.

Perry's one on the ice too. Still, I will never cheer for Vegas unless they get an Anaheim Ducks-style rebrand. I'm an OG hater. They're the Lakers of the NHL- doesn't matter who they play, they're the center of attention every single time. You can say they have a point for US-based broadcasts against a Canadian team, but the Wild barely got mentioned in that last series.
They're also like the Lakers in that they're entitled divas. If things don't go their way, they throw a tantrum. Chief among them is Eichel. To put it bluntly, he's a massive bitch.
Vegas doesn't bother me, absolutely indifferent about them. I usually only break out the hate for teams that actually knock us out in the playoffs and shit bags off the ice. Kane with his car entrance alone was enough to root against them.

Well the East Metro sucks, one has to make the last four by default but I doubt either of those teams go through four rounds, maybe before this series I’d have given the Caps a chance but they were lucky to get a home split against a team that wasn’t all that impressive against us.

Man, what an unlikable field left. Except for Dallas, all of these teams are not only mediocre relative to past cup winners but full of guys who deserve their bells getting rung. Probably a lesson in there for us.

think dallas has a great shot actually. absolute wagon. if they make it out of the west I do not see a team in the east that could beat em aside from the panthers maybe

They may have even still won game 7 if it weren’t for the Skinner leaker in a close game.
It would be the best thing for them to win without him or on the bench, because then they won’t give him a Daccord, Blackwood or Lankinen deal from this last year. Or the Adin Hill “proven cup winning starting goalie” extension he just got.
This playoffs is already strike one in Adin Hill eventually getting MAF’d out of town or getting abducted by aliens and banished to Lehner’s snake farm.
I don’t remember those two guys have a playoffs like this in Vegas.

Is anyone saying a “grind it out defensive style” is enough though?
I don’t see how anyone would argue against us needing more offensive pop 5v5, it was an obvious problem for the majority of the season.
It was ironic that our PP killed us in the playoffs but that’s sports for ya.

Eh, they just gave Hill an extension in March, I don’t see him getting moved.
Yeah, they moved Fleury but 7m made him the 3rd highest paid goalie (behind Price & Bob) at the time.

I know they won’t move him yet.
They probably won’t even give the keys to Schmid for game 3 because of it. But I think the odds of him being there for 4 or more than 4 years of that deal are probably not too terribly high.
Though if he wins another cup on that deal then that probably helps his longevity there.

I’m kinda rooting for the Leafs at this point. Honestly anyone but the f***ing Canes. Oh yea f*** Vegas too.
I think everyone deserves to get to see their team take home the cup, and very few fan bases can understand what it must be like to be a Leafs fan. I also think it would be good for the game to have Matthews get one.
