This is like playoff Fleury in 2010-2013, but Fleury had made back to back cup finals runs and one cup win right before that stretch. And eventually he'd go on to have a pretty good 2017 playoffs until they took him out in the conference finals for a healthy Murray to protect him so Vegas could take him in the expansion draft. Then he had the 2018 cup finals run with Vegas.
Hellebuyck has one conference finals appearance, and it was now a long time ago.

You just can't win a cup him in net, Fitz did right not trading for him in the summer of 2023. Could you imagine if we had that guy? @Bleedred's blood pressure would be cooked

Like the Vegas/Adin Hill cup, the Khudobin cup finals run.
He probably could have found a way to play even worse than the injured Kuemper/Francouz tandem for Colorado in the 2022 playoffs. Bad enough to where it was have cost Colorado the cup win.
It’s not just Hellebuyck. Winnipeg is playing like shit. On their heels. St. Louis has been the aggressor since minute 4 of the first period. I’m not sure what’s going on with this Jets team. Or maybe St. Louis at this point in time is just that good. In which case watch out.
I feel bad for Connor at this point, he played really well for the US in the 4 Nations and he's going to be in goal for the Olympics.
STL is a really good home team. They’ve won 14 (soon to be 15) in a row at home. Their last home loss was in OT to Winnipeg the first game after the 4 nations.
Also the Jets are missing Schieffle.
