Is Ekblad really even that good anymore? He just always looks slow, old and not all that good on eye test.

At the very least I think he's a guy they gotta think about letting walk and not re-signing long term.

Like when Colorado let Erik Johnson walk.

I know Johnson was quite a bit older and far worse at that point, but a 7-8 year deal for Ekblad would not be wise.

I’m actually even more surprised they’ve not won more series, since they seem to be in the playoffs more often than not, unlike Columbus who came in at the same time. And I think they only have one, but technically two with the play-in round win the bubble.

But I guess that’s right. Without looking at it I’m assuming they won two with Parise and Suter, because we constantly talk about how all that money and they only got two playoff round wins. And then the two in the Cinderella year with Lemaire, when they made it to the conference finals and got Giguere’d.

Ekblad looks every bit as bad in person. I noticed it this year when I went to the two games. It's not just ''Rust from the 20 game suspension''.

Tkachuk needs to be out a game.

I'm not counting Tampa out, I never was, but they probably need to win game 4 also.

He isn’t going to get suspended. Any auto suspension will get rescinded. If the score was 3-2 vs 5-1 it would have been a minor penalty. They threw him out to not have things escalate.

Def late but it didn’t look nearly as bad as the one on Barkov. It was clean though. The Murphy hit on Hischier that didn’t even get a penalty a couple years back after Smith broke Bedards jaw was 10x worse.

I like laughing at Adin Jag Hill.

At least Binnington won the cup as a rookie and didn’t go through a couple of teams before getting lucky being sent to St. Louis and winning the cup. I guess he did get lucky with that call up, but his rookie year was memorable with his debut and all the way to a cup win.

Adin Hill’s cup feels like the world champion wrestler who bounced around companies with different names and gimmicks and had a long stretch as a jobber before being repackaged and having a title run.
