I’ll have to check the advanced stats or consult our resident goaltending expert, but it seems like Shesty’s not doing as badly as the goals against indicate. But that little bit of decline means a lot for the Rangers.

He needs to stay as long as possible so he can continue to make bad trades and sign people to untradeable contracts completely tied to signing bonuses.

They’re now playing with fire and risking taking in too much water by letting Mr “I’ve been injured for the last 8 months, don’t you remember winning that playoff round without me” find his game. He’s been really horrible since making his season debut.

They need to do what Hynes did in 2018 and go back to Lankinen.

Demko has recently been hurting them a lot more than the stupid stuff behind the scenes between Pettersson and Miller, which probably isn’t actually going on.

At some point somebody has to get fired over there.

Unless they’re just gonna let it smolder until the off-season starts? Season already feels lost for them. It’s gonna take a pretty impressive run to make the playoffs.

I guess a 105 point pace starting tonight through game 82 gets them to 93 points?
 
The Panthers have been kind of not great for a few weeks now.

And the Rangers are pushing their shit in tonight.
 
Rangers probably should have challenged that, but since they lost that bad challenge it would have been a double minor if they lose again.

I don’t know what the rule is there regarding pushing the pad to knock the puck to another player (vs in directly). But they probably challenge it if the risk is just a minor vs double minor.

How the hell does Ryan Lindgren deflect a shot in front of the net? Or the slot. Can’t tell because of the video highlight only being 10 seconds long. That’s why I wait until the game ends before reviewing all goals.

But how the hell does defensive defenseman Lindgren gain that kind of positioning? :laugh:

I missed it live but just saw the replay as they broke to commmercial. I had the same reaction. I was like is that freaking Ryan Lindgren alone in front deflecting a point shot? Lol
