Rempe should get double digit games. He's not a hockey player, he's a head hunter. He hasn't learned a damn thing and he has no remorse.

I didn’t see the game but I knew exactly what happened once I heard “Rempe hit”.
Every f***ing hit by this dipshit starts with him lumber-sprinting across the ice, for a while, in order to brain an unsuspecting player who has stopped by the boards to play the puck.
The ridiculous part is these are clearly the only types of hits Rempe is capable of delivering.
He’s can’t pull off big open ice hits or even hit a moving target. So his one f***ing move is a suspension worthy boarding.
How many times does he have to do this before he starts getting severe penalties?
I loath Trouba but I know where he legally operates. The league likes open ice hits, and they give players some latitude if they get dicey. (You can disagree, please don’t see this as the start of separate discussion lol.)
But there’s no grey area with Rempe, other than how deliberately dangerous you think each illegal boarding incident is.
It’s absurd. The Rag’s folk hero needs to start getting major suspensions or he’ll go around being more dangerous than someone like Matt Cooke ever was. And, to be clear, Cooke did very dangerous things.
Trouba is dirty as hell, but he is an actual hockey player. Even Cooke and Raffi Torres were guys who could play a little. Rempe is none of that. The only reason he is up in the NHL is to hurt people and distract from the shit show the Rangers normally are.

Amazes me that you guys think Rempe is going to be suspended. You know where he plays. You know how bad they look recently. You know the league.

He got 4 games for his hit on Siegenthaler, so he should get more for this, since he’s the dictionary definition of repeat offender here.
So he should be gone on December 23rd. The 2nd game is 9 games from now for the Rangers. It would be nice for it to go that long but I’m not holding my breath.
We’ll know pretty quickly if he’s getting a lengthy suspension because they’ll give him a in-person hearing if the suspension is going to be 6 games or more.

I get the skepticism but Rempe got 4 games for elbowing someone in the head, played 7 regular season games and 11 playoff games (lol), and then got a Game Misconduct for the exact same infraction.
Marchand got 6 games for poking Tristan Jarry’s head with a stick in 2022 because he had a history of suspensions and fines.*
While this would only be Rempe’s 2nd suspension it happened in 19th game after the Siegenthaler hit. The first suspension has been ignored, he should get an in-person hearing for this.
It will probably be 6 games though.
Obviously I wouldn’t be shocked if I’m off here, the Dept of Player Safety is unpredictable, other than everyone knows how much it sucks ass.
*That penalty might seem minor to a lot of you but he fought it and lot of people on the main board bitched about it for some f***ing reason. One of the few times I got involved with a main board discussion. (Of course it was rewarding lol.)

I knew when he got called up he would be suspended within a few games. I actually thought it would be against us but it seems like he just can't control himself.
Their coach is praising him while he goes out trying to hurt people. Now it makes sense with him getting called up after Avery apparently met with Dolan. They are going to try to goon it up.
Just start suspending him for 20 game clips.

This isn’t even one of those different types of dirty plays scenarios. It’s basically the same hit except Hiesekenen has his backed turned and drilled in the number on top of the elbow.

The video shows the elbow hitting the head first. They basically look at where the contact was first made and that's textbook elbowing to the head. He was looking right at him while leading with the elbow. You can't go around hitting people with their back turned like that.
Just stack a line with three of him and send them out against the best players on the Rangers with instructions to play like Rempe. Be honest about it in thr post game presser and the league will fix the problem at that point. The real criminals in all this are the NHLPA who don’t care about their own members to the point of criminal negligence. Just awful.
