I think we all knew they weren't a very good team and just an okay team propped up by the best goalie in the world, but are they really this bad? Or is this just guys mailing it in for the year and giving up on the coach/GM/team?

Their blue line is on par with the 14-15 Devils when we had Yohann Avitu, Eric Gelinas and those cast of hilarious characters. Their top 6 veterans have mailed it in and their blue line is piss poor. Drury stinks too btw

I watched some of this game early because f*** the NHL Network, and it genuinely looked pretty equal for a little while, but once LA scored the first one they started pouring it on.

First goal was massive, Kings can defend like no one else in this league + Rags play like keystone cops

I don't watch them much but it sounds like Miller and LIndgren's play has completely collapsed which basically leaves it all up to Fox. On the front end the emergence of Lafreniere can't offset the steep decline of Kreider and Zib. Panarin and Trochek are also not as good as they were last year.

Long story short, they need Shesterkin to be a difference maker every game.

If we can win the conference, it'd be nice to face the Flyers in round one.

But I don't know if I can take another Canes or Tampa matchup.

At this point, I don't care but I get your point. Those two are demonic for us but we have to beat good teams for the Cup lol

Miller is what people think Luke Hughes is When he's good, he's GOOD but when he's bad, it's very bad

An underdog Tampa team is maybe the team i would want to face the least in the first round.

I would rather take our chances with Carolina or Washington
There have been two teams to push us offensively this year, the Caps and Tampa. At least with the Caps we pushed back in all of the games.

Tampa Bay should scare everyone because of how elite their high talent is but also Vasy is probably gonna be very pissed after the last 2 playoffs. Granted, they had no chance v last year's Florida but he was mediocre I think versus the Leafs in 2023

100% major dark horse pick in the East. Pressure is off them compared their dynasty years but they still got the horses.

Want nothing to do with them, and the Metro winner should be totally rooting for them to end up top 3 in the Atlantic so there is zero chance of having to play them round 1

I've been heavily pounding this drum lately but after all the hurt feelings over them not bringing back Stamkos (who is kind of washed up anyway) and not letting him remain a career Bolt, they actually did good by letting him go and signing Guentzel instead.

And then further weakening Nashville by taking back the defenseman they traded them 2 years ago, who would then use the savings to sign Stamkos who they let go.

That was a hilarious troll move, though I don't think they actually meant to troll them.

The 2025 Lightning will no doubt be a stronger team with Guentzel instead of Stamkos. And McDonagh is probably an upgrade over whoever else they would have been icing on defense instead.

They’re my favorite in the Atlantic over the Panthers. Maybe even my favorite in the East and league at this point. They’re f***ing frightening and will be even better after they fill the holes at the deadline. I’d be shocked if they’re not top 3 in the division

i think after watching the Devils last year with the McLeod situation, it only takes a very very tiny straw to break the camels back in this league.

its already hard to win as a team that totally fights for each other and has nothing going on negative in a lockerroom.

i think the trouba situation and to a certain extent the Igor and Goodrow situation being so public really took a toll on these players. i’m not sure they know who they’re even fighting for.
