Rest of the Metro's point percentages are absurd. Carolina especially.

Impossible all three those teams keep that up.

But either way Atlantic is playing like poop and have more games played, so overall standings wise we are in a solid place.

Just need to keep finding results at a steady clip
The thing is we are right there with those teams. They beat the Sharks tonight they move into a virtual tie on pts% with the Caps and Rangers and would be a half game back of the Canes.

The team is in very good shape.

It's really unreal. Caps put the beat down like crazy.

So happy someone pounded the Canes finally. You figure they are also overreaching, but maybe that is my wishfulness.

The Canes are monsters this year because they added speed with all their new additions. Their system with speed is a just grinding machine, they are the best team in the NHL right now.

The comparative lack of offensive stars isn’t a problem and their depth is insane.

Their 4th line is bonkers great, they will most likely destroy us because we can’t match up with a team that can role four tough lines like that.

At some point they will suffer some injuries. Hopefully they lose man games like last year’s Devils and even more.

Wishing misfortune on them is one strategy lol.

They’re shooting hot right now, so the goals will eventually become harder to come by for Carolina. Their goaltending is also somewhat suspect.

Their possession game and depth will remain terrifying, unless they get a bunch of injuries, but there’s no reason to assume that will happen.

Why wish misfortune on them? A smart team would impose misfortune on them. Ask me how.

The first Calgary goal was absurd as the ref clearly put his arm up to call matching minors but allowed play to continue. The excuse that it had no impact on the play was also bullshit as Byram was our guy being penalized and him being out of the play is what led to the blown coverage on the goal. Just happy to get the 2 points as 3 point games with an out of conference foe are fine by me.

Until the playoffs anyway, you can’t scheme goals as much when you’re only playing good teams that are scouting you more throughly.

I don't know how Sullivan's gonna survive this.

And they're probably gonna bring in Quenneville and I think people are really gonna revolt against that. That may actually turn most fans against Dubas at that point, at least the ones who haven't already turned on him.

Or maybe I just have too much faith in my fellow hockey fans and humanity.

Couldn't happen to a better owner. I want to watch it burn

The Caps not being dookie is annoying, but the bottom half of the Metro is nothing to be concerned about with Pitt flaming out and waving the white flag.

Atlantic has a bunch of middling teams too. No reason for us not be missing the playoffs this year
