I was rooting for Columbus to get in this year, but I won’t be next year.

I figured I had enough human in me to pause my hatred for this one year for obvious reasons.

I’ve also hated the recent Montreal hype as well.

If Columbus were in a similar situation next year at the end of the season and it had no impact on us because we were already clinched, would I root against them to get in over some other team? I’d be fine with them in as long as we got in.

Watching Crosby and Ovechkin scoring in the last game of the season is cute. In the same time youngsters Bedard, Michkov, Celebrini are starting with 60+ points and near 25 goals. Fantilli scores 30 goals, Demidov with hot debut. And McDavid, Kucherov and McKinnon are in their prime. A lot to watch in the league.

Nice ovation from the crowd and players from both teams for Sam Rosen after a commercial break. A pretty high percentage of rags fans (probably 50 years old and younger) know only Rosen as their play-by-play broadcaster. Think about that. He's going to be missed.

The league will be in good hands once they retire. You also have Gavin McKenna coming in 2 years , he is a Bedard level prospect it seems.

Crosby and Ovechkin will be big shoes for just about to any player to fill. Those guys put up numbers in a loeer scoring era as well , I think that will give them the edge over all these new players unless they rack up a ton of trophies and multiple Cups.

Legends rarely have their shoes filled. Crosby and Ovi will be no exception.
