OOT Scoreboard 2024 25 Season Part II

Never seen this before. Nazar sick shootout goal but they didn't realize it was in the net. Stuck behind the middle post. Then Laine takes his shot afterward. Then they realize Nazar scored and awarded the goal

Still funny the Isles traded that pick for "Alexander Romanov". Could've had Nazar, Eiserman, this years first rounder, Avs first rounder, Calum Ritchie. but LOL Lou

Kings Oilers on tonight. I will definitely tune in to see how that goes since its a playoff preview. It may be exhibition level but those two teams really don’t like each other so it may get physical

Edit: actually, they still have home ice up for grabs. So may be a good game

This is what frustrates me the most about our fall off. The Metro is bad. The East in general is bad. Two Florida teams are the only good teams. Everything went right for Washington this year but they’re very beatable. Carolina’s very mid. Toronto’s meh with elite goaltending.

Ya, this is fair. But the slight positive spin could be that this conference should be there for the taking next year as well. Expecting Washington to be on their PDO bender might not be realistic, the same crop of teams will be good again.

I still think there is a higher chance NJ takes this series than the matchup in 2023.

IF Markstrom can be good and the special teams continues its prowess.

Big IF of course.

We had a chance in 2023 if we just played Luke the whole time. Split games 3 and 4 with him. Lost in OT in game 5 and could’ve won if not for crazy blown chances.

Romanov is really good for them.

Let's go, Jackets! Wish them luck. They deserved their bright moment after the loss of Gaudreau.

The one thing that gives me hesitance to pick the Kings over the Oilers, other than the Oilers not having all their guys right now.

I saw Kuemper left last night’s game. Unless that was Rittich that started and he left?

I don’t like the Kings chances one bit with Rittich. With Kuemper? Yes. Rittich? No.

The disparity in numbers between the two behind the same team are almost astronomical.

So if Kuemper left injured and will be unavailable for game 1 I can’t say I like their chances.

But I don’t think this is the Oilers year. Last year I did, maybe next year I will think that again, but not so much this year.

I think the Kings probably realized they had last night in the bag so they pulled Kuemper, don't need a freak injury to happen to your starter. Also, not sure if you saw what Danault said and what Nurse did to Byfield.

Sure, it might happen and the bottom-6 might get fixed, etc. I agree and that’s all fine.

But next year’s outlook doesn’t change the fact that this season, especially the second half, has been a pretty big disappointment.
they have just 17 wins since the second canes game after Xmas lol. They've been flat out dog shit.

The flames have more points than them. The Canadiens and Utah have the same amount of points.

It's disappointing. You'd have liked them to at least picked up the points in the low hanging fruit games against the rebuilding teams and not give up leads in the last minute. If you can just not give up the last minute goals they are at maybe 96-97 points right now. Hopefully they make a decent showing in the playoffs and they can reassess after that.

Ah, I saw he left and figured maybe he was an injury pull.

Columbus is annoying but I do respect them as a franchise. Have played hard for most of their existence and were probably done in by Jarmo's rough approach with FAs.

Demidov seems to be the real deal but otherwise, I just don't buy this Habs group for a second. They remind me of Buffalo coming out of the '05 lockout.

I hear you.

But the playoffs is a new season. Anything can happen in Jersey!

Guess the Oilers didn't show up for this one.

Columbus wins to put pressure on Montreal. If the Habs lose to Carolina tomorrow in regulation and the BJs beat the Islanders in regulation on Thursday the Jackets are in.

It looks like the west will wrap up tonight. St. Louis up big on Utah which would clinch. Minnesota ties with Anaheim but they just need a point. Calgary losing to Vegas and they need Minnesota to lose in regulation.
