Yeah very unfortunate sequence from the Panthers to end the 3rd and the OT.

I don’t understand why the Montreal announcer acted like it was this unbelievable goal.

A wraparound goal in 2025 is nothing worth hyping up.

Vitek sucks.

He’s been awful there, outside of a 20 save shutout over Buffalo in his first game. I’m pretty sure it’s not just Lindy Jersey and San Jose. He’s really flirting with a one way ticket to Europe career ending territory.

3rd period chokejob to the Islanders, allowed 6 or 7 goals the next game (can’t even remember who it was against) and now this.

And aside from Vitek, I think Tampa might beat them if that’s the matchup. With how infrequent they’ve been winning lately and 3.5 weeks without a regulation win, they’re probably a safe bet to finish right where they are in 3rd.

They’re probably in.

Isles and Red Wings are done. The Blue Jackets have games against Colorado, Toronto, Ottawa twice, Washington twice. They won’t lose all of them, but I’m thinking they’ll lose enough of those games to end their season. Nashville is an auto win for almost everybody right now.

Because it was more about the moment. The captain scoring two goals with 8 seconds left and in OT while battling for playoffs makes it look monumental

As for wrap arounds go. It was a good one with his shimmy shake before going around the net which froze Vitek

But still, Vitek needs to get to that post

Boston is now last in the conference. Just shows how tight 8th to 16th was in the East as they were in the playoff race a few weeks ago. All mediocre teams and no dumpster teams like we see in the west.

What a sweet OT goal by Fowler. Imagine the Rags drafted McIlrath instead of this guy.

That's gotta pretty much lock up the playoffs for the Blues no? Unless Calgary and/or Vancouver go on a roll + Blues collapsing after a 10 game winning streak.

Roy has a bad habit of throwing guys under the bus and in a very loud way. Did it in Colorado too. I don’t think he’s coming back. Lou probably isn’t either.

Remember when he flipped out about Duchene wildly celebrating a milestone goal he scored in a game Colorado was losing like 5-0? And he also gave a public note of low confidence about Varlamov during his last season in Colorado. Which is why I’m still flabbergasted at Varlamov’s comments about getting chills when he heard Roy was named Islanders head coach. And it didn’t sound like he was saying that in a negative way.

Roy is like the goalie version of Wayne Gretzky as a head coach in the NHL, as far as success goes. Gretzky wasn’t nasty like this about his players, as far as I remember. Just both legendary players on the ice who had no success as head coaches in the league. Roy did win that Jack Adams, but Colorado’s 13-14 season was heralded as a fluke from the beginning.

Wait a minute, I’m sure this was talked about plenty when Jones was traded there, but isn’t he still a really bad defenseman? Or just an okay defenseman with a really bad contract/cap hit?

I’m probably overreaching here and I forget exactly when he was traded there, but their record over the last few weeks has been not good and they haven’t won a game in regulation in 3.5 weeks. I’m not completely blaming him, but this doesn’t look like it’s been an upgrade at all.
