With how this team is gonna probably play coming up we are gonna have to be reduced to rooting for other teams to lose so we can fall backwards into hopefully remaining in a playoff spot just to get knocked out in 5 or 6 games. Just wonderful.

I don't see a way this team is going to get past the first round, if they make the playoffs. Why trade assets to salvage this year when they can't score and lost its key scorer for the season.

The season is done. Don't spend draft capital to try to salvage it. This team built a hole let them fight themselves out of it. No trading second round picks. Use them in off-season to bring in talent with term. Want to get a 3rd line center? Use 3rd round picks or lower. Keep 2026 first round draft pick.

If this team doesn't make the playoffs, perhaps it's time Fitz to move on.
