OOT Scoreboard 2024 25 Season Part II

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Aghh Rags get 5 goals on like 11 shots . Pathetic .
Have you seen enough yet Vancouver?

How's that Lankinen deal looking?

How's RutherFOOL and his mute sidekick doing?

How's that Dick Tanket coaching job going?

If we don't beat the f*** OUT OF THEM on Monday I'm gonna probably go crazy. Just letting you know.

I just made a nasty post on the main board shredding Rutherfool, Allvin, stupid Lankinen contract and most of all Rick Tocchet.

I honestly forgot that I named Rick Tocchet Dick Tanket back in 2018, until I went through posts from the Spring of 2018 when we needed his Coyotes to beat the Panthers (I think?) and if not them then one of the other teams who were hot on our tail.

I found that post about 2-3 years ago and was very amused.

Lankinen wasn't the issue today, only goal you can nail him on was the GWG. Shesty had an equally nasty goal on the Boeser 3-3 one but Shesterkin had a quality game so it's more forgiving. Vancouver should've buried them with the chances they had today

I really don't expect any help from the Flames today. Them winning 2 of the 3 against the area teams is probably good enough for a team like that.

I haven't reviewed the game at all, but my critiques are more of the contract they gave Lankinen.

It was really stupid and it's already blowing up in their face before it even starts.

I think the projections for him were like a little over $3 million per for 2 or 3 years?

They jumped the shark with that deal.

But a lot of teams are doing that right now with goalies.

If they really wanted him so bad they probably could have gotten him for cheaper if they waited till the end of this year.

Teams are doing that because of the cap jumping and probably getting ahead of the market with the cap going up. Also Vancouver is probably gonna move on from Demko, he's been glass for them for the past few years. They can get another backup who can split with Lankinen 60-40 and get a haul for Demko from a goalie hungry team.

I think this contract is not gonna work out well. It might become sort of like Korpisalo in Ottawa, which was a UFA contract on July 1st.

But Korpisalo has been much worse than Lankinen. Korpisalo was coming off just the second good season of his career and first good one since his rookie year.

I'm not sure anyone will pay a ton for Demko, but he could be a real steal for someone on his next deal if he stays healthy. Because he'll probably have to take a paycut on his next deal.

But if he stays and performs well while he's on the ice he could be a good pickup.

And the Flames are back with VLADAR today? Seriously? Non-back to back and they're playing him? REALLY?

Good one Pierre. He just gave up a leaker for the Islanders to take a 2-1 lead.

I think the Islanders are winning this one.
