The biggest thing I noticed this game is absolutely no after the whistle stuff from Florida. This is a team that normally mucks it up and they stayed away from it completely.

They were aggressive and physical during play and not after the whistle. They keep that up and they’re in a good spot. Limit rangers chances on the PP. Panthers are aggressive enough on the PK to cause them some issues there too.

In addition to special teams being subject to fluctuations in small sample sizes, i.e. eventually it goes through a cold spell or slows down by the time you get deep into the playoffs.

This is why relying on special teams to this extent is not a reliable way to win a championship. We see this year in and year out and people never learn.
