The 29th Pick
Still Alive !
just a tadI'm assuming the cap circumvention talk has to do with Kucherov?

So is the thought that he could have played this year, but sat out so the team could then bring in more talent?just a tad
I dont think thats the issueSo is the thought that he could have played this year, but sat out so the team could then bring in more talent?
what are you talking about? we're talking about the pick we're getting from the Isle's
you know ever since Greek Easter you've been a Debbie downer, it's not my fault we're not in the playoffs fellaI liked it better when you told lame Greek Easter jokes.

we've been discussing why its better if the Isle's don't advance so that our draft pick from them remains as high as possible and people were saying, "whats the difference between #20 or #30 really"I'm sorry but What are *YOU* talking about?
I was talking about our own pick, not the pick we're getting from the Isle's.
I was pretty clear on that.

aight I googled it.I dont think thats the issue
OK, I'm just rooting for the Devils in general, I want the highest pick possible from the Isle's, I don't wish any ill will towards Palms or Travis etc, but the sooner they're out, the better pick we get, and some people have said it doesn't matter if they win one round, it won't affect our pick, but my point is, why let them advance, because anything is possible if the get past the 1st round with a healthy confident team.Okay, I get that.
But if you read my post (which I assume you did), you would see that my viewpoint is that I really don't care all that much about that pick considering we're getting a great prospect with our own pick.
Let me put it to you in layman's terms :
If the Isles get knocked out of the playoffs sooner rather than later, Great.
If they go farther, that's fine, too.
I am neutral to the whole thing.
I think our gripe here is, if it was 2012 and the Devils put Kovi on LTIR for the season, then brought him back for game 1 of the playoffs, the league would probably shake their heads and scream shenanigansaight I googled it.
Certainly looks iffy. I guess the fix would be if you play in the playoffs a certain % of your salary, say 25%, counts towards the cap.
He has hip surgery. That takes out for 4-5 months. For real.So is the thought that he could have played this year, but sat out so the team could then bring in more talent?

That’s some persecution complex right there. And Kovy would have needed to have something wrong with him that takes that long.I think our gripe here is, if it was 2012 and the Devils put Kovi on LTIR for the season, then brought him back for game 1 of the playoffs, the league would probably shake their heads and scream shenanigans

pot meet kettle, dont be a hypocrite, do you read your own post's?That’s some persecution complex right there. And Kovy would have needed to have something wrong with him that takes that long.
This the kind of team I want. One that’s fast and abuses the other team’s goalie “accidentally”.
