Carrick with POS move, along with Drew going after Turcotte because the San Diego goaltender went after Turcotte. Wish LA had more muscle, because clearly the Gulls wanted to brawl

I agree we need some added toughness on this team. Pepe’s absence last night and our Reign game are both examples. I know others have seen it as well. I am asking what player out there would our fans want management to go after? I have looked and finding a good fit is not easy.

guys like Tom Wilson will not be traded.

guys like MacDermid are not the solution as they solve the toughness problem but add defensive liability, no offense, limited minute type problems.

I find guys like M Tkachuk in Calgary to be more of a rat that starts stuff then a guy that stands up for teammates.

I really miss the old school power forward types. Who would be a modern day Rick Tocchet?

Its a bit hard to find those physical player between now and the trade deadline. ATM most teams want to see if they can contend and later in the year, contending teams normally over pay for that style of player.

Bertuzzi and Lauzon are players that came to mind for the Kings. Its tough, i hope they can draft and develop a couple.

Good for Turcotte as a slow start would have been the last thing he needed, gets him going quickly.
How did Grans look? I see he picked up an assist in what I believe was his debut.

So far the team defense has been much better than the past three seasons, so that's a hopeful start. Offensively you can tell they are missing some of the depth without Byfield, Kaliyev, Kupari and Thomas. Turcotte is playing a solid two-way game, but he really needs to stay on his feet more. Fagemo has not been that noticeable overall on the offensive side of the puck, Madden has once again had a ton of chances playing on Tynan's wing (TJ is a passing master to the soft open spots), but he is having difficulty beating the goalie. JAD has been okay, but not standing out that much. Team is putting a lot of weight on the vets Tynan, Frk, Burke, Sutter and Johnson. IMO Moverare has once again been the best D man on both sides of the puck. Grans improved as he got more comfortable in his first game, there is a lot to like about Spence and his offensive potential. They have rotated in and out of the line up the first two games with Strand and Durzi also on the right side. There are just not enough RD spots right now. Villalta had a real solid game in net, Ingham did well too but I think he'd tell you he would want both of the goals against back as his positioning was slightly off on his angles.

Thinking before this season ends, we'll see Moverare in NHL games.

Good to hear Grans improved. Out of all LA's prospects, I'm least confident in him making the NHL. Hopefully my opinion changes during this season.

Nice to see the Reign win their first in OT. Looked like they were going to blow the game.
