If Sammy is out for awhile maybe we get another signing like DSP. I don’t see a winger on the NHL roster being demoted.

A lot of Reign players are down for the count. Madden, Fagemo, Imama, Byron and it seems Gaunce. Gaunce was an everyday D man who was leading the team at +11 (on a very poor team scoring differential), but has not played in the last 3 games, so one must assume he is hurt or out on protocol. Plus Strand, Brickley, and Grosenick are up with the Kings.

Biggest returning player disappointments this year for the Reign are Villalta and Eyssimont. Durzi doesn't seem to progressing, his puck management and defensive reads still need a lot of work. Clague has digressed since he was sent back down. He has the same issues as Durzi.

Biggest improvements of the returning prospects are Kupari and Strand.

Keep an eye on Moverare. He'll need some time, but I get a Mikey Anderson vibe from him with a bit more offensive flair with his passing. Need to see more. Hults might have some promise too, but his coverage will need more work at the pro level.

Just visually (no idea how he actually plays / uses his body), he's much bigger than what i had thought -- 6'2? Keep adding strength and that'll be a good addition to a somewhat smallish D corp we have currently for the future.

He's listed at 6'3" 190 on eliteprospects...but certainly must weigh over 200 now. 7 goals, 12 assists in 51 games with Frolunda last yr...and the season before, was part of the
title winning team in Fronlunda at age 20. Had a good playoffs. Saw clips of him last year, rifling wicked wristers from 30+ feet out for goals.

I recall Yannetti stating after his drafting, that Moverare 'had the best hockey sense of any defenseman he'd seen in that draft class" (correct? anyone recall) and even the
rest of the staff had noted his hockey sense....what made him a 4th rounder, was his feet / footspeed....apparently, it's improved. And also was noted his conditioning needed
work and he's in much better condition now.

Sounds pretty hopeful and hope he makes it. Glad he's back over here again.

Let's hope Seattle doesn't get him. He right in that age bracket of 22-23 to start turning the corner for a d man.

We might have found that Strand is a diamond in rough like Roy / Walker. Let's hope Moverare turns into one as well.

These D just take a while to round out their game and mature. If brought up too early, they may continue making bad reads and develop bad habits.

Seems like Wrobo has been doing an adequate job thus far.

Good point. People forget that Voynov was in the AHL for 4 years. Seems like an eternity in todays' NHL.

I still do wish Bjornfot woulda stayed down another year. And they had him run one of the power plays. I’m worried he will stagnate as a really good defensive defenseman that can move the puck. But doesn’t put up true offensive numbers.

I'd like to see Moverare get a couple games in with Maata out. I'm sure he would have played some if he didn't immediately get hurt early in the season. Hopefully he's healthy and getting up to speed.

Amadio certainly looked solid in the first, should be a much needed veteran presence for the team.

Agree Amadio should never be brought back to the big club cuz he should be a fixture for the Reign for years to come. Please.

The guy was a PPG monster in the AHL, it's a bummer he hadn't put it together in the NHL and maybe he will for some other team in the future, but for the Reign, the guy is a GREAT influence.
