Because with a name like Bokondji how can you not be awesome? Why is Boko our best player?
Now they have a valid win streak. Can we consider 1 win a winning streak?
Right now, I do.
On the flip side, I've been a huge proponent of Byfield, but his game is kind of regressing the last 3 games or so. Regressing is probably not the right word, but he's been less noticeable. The one thing he has been doing more of though is getting in opposition players faces. Was good to see him come to Fagemo's defense after the hit he took.
By field for some reason almost never takes the shot only one shot in both of last two games he does engage on the walls ,hopefully as the team gets better his confidence will improve.....turcotte looked like the player we saw at the WJC tonite and does play with abandon lol hope he lives to play in LA he will definitely bring some excitement
It’ll take some time for that assertiveness to develop. He’s basically a kid and is probably still finding himself in that regard.I think this might be the first game they've played where I can't say goaltending was an issue. Gotta tip my hat to Berube. Solid game from him today.
Turcotte, Kupari and Kaliyev is turning into a solid top-line for ONT. I thought Turcotte especially was very noticeable today for all the right reasons. Though I think anyone who's watched ONT will know he's been generating chances and playing well for the most part.

However, what I’m seeing is someone that is working on certain details, so for example he’s improving his draws and board play. As you point out he’s standing up for his teammates and that’s a good sign. He’s working on the things he needs to develop for his NHL game and I expect that is what he’s been told to focus on - those things that aren’t so natural to him. When that happens it tends to affect the natural parts of a players game, I’ve seen it before, they are thinking about their game rather than just playing it. Don’t get me wrong I want to see more scoring from him, but it will come, I’m genuinely not concerned because I’m seeing growth in other more nuanced areas....
I almost prefer Turcotte at Winger.I'm assuming Turcotte playing wing and Kupari center is simply due to Turcotte being rusty. Soon enough he'll move back to center. Still, it's interesting because most of us just assume Kupari will be a winger in the NHL (at least on the Kings). It would be ironic if Kupari ended up being a dynamic puck handling center. That's the great thing with having so much prospect depth.
