Great great win by the Reign!!!! Wow back to back break up this team. Really like that the new coach is putting these kids out in all situations and he's just rolling the lines. Getting experience in every which way.

Clague I thought had a very good game overall the whole team played perhaps their best game. Only remember a few 2 on 1's which is great considering this team seems to give up 10 every period. But super happy for Turcotte getting that goal will definitely get the monkey off his back. Byfield had a few good plays but was pretty quiet really wish he would be more assertive and carry the puck more. 2 in a row still in shock. LOL.

Reign looked strong tonight. Thing I noticed most was the lack of brain farts. In previous games, we’d play great for 15 mins and then make 1 mistake and it’d be in the back of our net. Today I think we only gave up 1 odd man rush. Perhaps the kids are learning the system.

byfield was great on face offs tonight.

wish hults moved the puck a little quicker, but he had a strong game overall.

Fagemo was pretty good- he’s got a little jam to his game.

Was starting to worry a little , the losses were really mounting but even worse was there was zero team play most games and no one looked like they had assigned game plan ,last two games were much better.......turcotte looked good, AK, looks better and plays well at both ends , him and fagemo look like the real deals and we should be very strong, young and talented in couple of years at the most

I think this might be the first game they've played where I can't say goaltending was an issue. Gotta tip my hat to Berube. Solid game from him today.

Turcotte, Kupari and Kaliyev is turning into a solid top-line for ONT. I thought Turcotte especially was very noticeable today for all the right reasons. Though I think anyone who's watched ONT will know he's been generating chances and playing well for the most part.

On the flip side, I've been a huge proponent of Byfield, but his game is kind of regressing the last 3 games or so. Regressing is probably not the right word, but he's been less noticeable. The one thing he has been doing more of though is getting in opposition players faces. Was good to see him come to Fagemo's defense after the hit he took.

I enjoy watching him rush the puck up ice- amazing how much ice he covers in 2 strides.

He's also hustling on the back check, but I've noticed that once he draws even with the man he's marking, he starts to coast. Wish he'd take one extra stride and get better position.

By field for some reason almost never takes the shot only one shot in both of last two games he does engage on the walls ,hopefully as the team gets better his confidence will improve.....turcotte looked like the player we saw at the WJC tonite and does play with abandon lol hope he lives to play in LA he will definitely bring some excitement

I think the only thing I worry about Turcotte is his durability. Kid goes 100% on every shift which he should but sometimes you just hope he doesn't get smoked or hurt going full throttle. He's one of my favorite Kings prospects and really hoping he becomes a bad ass!!!

It’ll take some time for that assertiveness to develop. He’s basically a kid and is probably still finding himself in that regard.

However, what I’m seeing is someone that is working on certain details, so for example he’s improving his draws and board play. As you point out he’s standing up for his teammates and that’s a good sign. He’s working on the things he needs to develop for his NHL game and I expect that is what he’s been told to focus on - those things that aren’t so natural to him. When that happens it tends to affect the natural parts of a players game, I’ve seen it before, they are thinking about their game rather than just playing it. Don’t get me wrong I want to see more scoring from him, but it will come, I’m genuinely not concerned because I’m seeing growth in other more nuanced areas....

Definitely could be. I've always thought he was their best forward (outside of Kupari) initially in terms of play in the offensive zone. I think the whole team is a wreck defensively so I'm not really commenting on two-way play and back checking as it's a very young team. One could assume when he first got a taste of AHL action with a new system, he's playing more the game he's used to in juniors. As games go by the emphasis switches more to systems and the pro game so he's adjusting / working on different things for sure.

I'm assuming Turcotte playing wing and Kupari center is simply due to Turcotte being rusty. Soon enough he'll move back to center. Still, it's interesting because most of us just assume Kupari will be a winger in the NHL (at least on the Kings). It would be ironic if Kupari ended up being a dynamic puck handling center. That's the great thing with having so much prospect depth.

I almost prefer Turcotte at Winger.
