You know, of course, how the Kings got through the greatest goalie and defense in the history of hockey. It was all luck. Henrik Luckqvist said so.

I said the other day about the 2012 cup run that it was unlike anything I've ever seen. I feel the same about 2014 considering I don't think another team will go through the hell that that team went through. I loved 2012 because it was the first, but 2014 was incredibly satisfying knowing that they went through blood sweat and tears to get what they wanted. And I don't think I've ever jumped as high as I did when I saw Martinez score both those OT goals against the Hawks and Rangers
Fun fact.
Kings are the only recent Cup Champs since the Ducks in 2007 to clinch on home ice.
That's going to end this year. Unless CHI chokes it up in game 6 and wins in game 7.
before those guys decide to San Jose the whole thing.

To reinvent the Simpsons phrase: the Kings are the luckiest bunch of lucks that ever lucked.
The 2012 cup run was awesome but as near as dramatic as the 2014. In 2012 the kings were dominant going up 3-0 in every series. in 2014 LA needed three game 7's and double OT in the clinching game. Not to mention coming back on the sharks after being down 3-0 in the series. Even though LA lost the game I think game 6 against Chicago was one of the best playoff games I have ever watched.
