One reason why your team will go deep and one reason why they won't

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

Will: Everyone gets healthy and our PK magically gets better for no explainable reason.

Won't: We exist.

Canucks if they make it:

Will - On the back of Quinn Hughes (and solid d-core overall)
Won't - Cannot score for the life of them, with maybe only 4 legit top 6 forwards

Utah, if we make it…

Will go all the way if all four teams we face self-destruct spectacularly.

Won’t go all the way: because we’re not actually very good yet.

Oilers...
Will.. McDrai and bouch score like last time plus one more guy scoring well... Pick which one you think. I say hyman.

Won't ... Emerson, Stecher, walman or Gus playing 2rd. Skinner/Pickard

They're operating in a zenlike state with 100% buy in through the whole line up.

They're playing the Oilers in the first round and will give up 40 points in four games to Draisaitl and McDavid mostly from the powerplay.

Leafs

Win: New identity and playing a different brand of hockey under Berube. The core guys have bought in and are playing a tougher, physical game and are willing to get into the dirty areas. The kind of game you need in the playoffs, which they haven't done in previous years.

Lose: Too much money tied up in 4 guys. If 2 of them don't show up, or get injured etc. I don't think we have enough depth to go deep. And historically that's been the case.

Cats

Win: We have an amazing roster on paper, or at least a highly entertaining one. Palm trees, whole team is on PEDs, and refs love us.

Lose: Roster is great on paper but everyone remains injured/struck out after too many surprise drug tests. And/or roster is back but rusty with no time to develop chemistry. Refs go back to disallowing a goal a game because we're the panthers. And our palm trees die.

Jets

Win - Team Defensive play, goaltending and depth

Lose - Lack of a true 2C/lack scoring (5vs5)

I think y'all have missed the biggest one.

Deep: If the PK is perfect again
Not Deep: If the PK isn't perfect again
For sure.. we live and die on special teams. Need the PP to heat up (I think it will to be honest). Need the PK to be very good and, to be honest, I think we have the horses to pull that off too!
