Ryan was terrible on the PK though if I remember correctly.
Wasn't amazing, but was at least an option particularly on faceoffs.

the Oil made the final in spite of him,

LOL...knobs not that smart...he'll whine about passengers, then continue same lines.
Throughout February, where the team hasn't been great, I think he's literally every single line combination. At this point might as well go back to ones that have at least had some success in the past.

KK complains in the media he had passengers last night…..

…..Proceeds to still play the passengers and sit the one player who hadn’t been a passenger just because *experience*.

**Doing the same thing but expecting a different result**

f*** you and your lifeless zero intensity zero urgency coaching Knobby. Go call Dallas Eakins and ask him how playing no hit dead on arrival hockey goes over in the end.

Gonna express some KK frustration as well. He's never looked grouchier and he's gone into angry Ray Ferraro mode. Trouble is he's picking the wrong carcasses to point out. He's essentially blaming the club, and selectively removing a rookie, and he's totally absolving Skinner saying he's not been a problem at all. There was a postgame presser on this roadtrip that if any of the players were listening they would be angered by the blanket pass given to Skinner.

The other thing is that of course a club getting belted and hammered every night by more physical clubs is going to come up limping and tender once in awhile. All the top Oilers players have been getting hammered out there. Just stapled into the boards, repeatedly, every game. Dopes like Podz who showed he can fight early in season hasn't dropped his mitts in months and just skates around pretending nothing happens. A hockey senior Citizen in Perry has to go out and fight because nobody will. Really credit to him anyway.

Certainly are passengers on the club. About 8-10 of them currently.

The approach lately seems to be random permutation lines. Lets let it land everywhere and try any mathematical combo possible. Then wonder when players and team aren't playing in sync.

I don'tike this game. I don't like it one bit

Granted I would hate playing a grade 8 team right now. We suck
Its March now so the Oilers win. Its not the doldrum months anymore we're now in stretch and with hints of spring on the horizon.

Tulips, greening grass and wins for everybody. The Oilers today play like that other club we haven't seen in awhile.

Arvid relearns what the object of shooting is, RNH wakens from slumber, and Pickard has a strong game between the pipes.

Playing physical has worked well for NHL teams, for over 100 years. Now Knob comes along and thinks body checks are irrelevant to success in this league...

Optimistic Drivesaitl, the only thing rarer than steak tartare.

Unsettling at times how common this thought is in coaching too. I thought the 4Nations Cup had Canada lacking in the hitting department. Jon Cooper not huge on it either. It barely worked though.

NHL probably got some memos though. US-Canada game start in round robin is "lit" across the internet and tons of fans watched those highlights that don't even follow hockey. All of them oddly thrilled with 3 fights in first 9 secs. Some though were harmed by the display of masculinity. ;)

Fun fact: this was the first episode of Mr Bean I ever watched and it got me hooked.

All classics. Its like Fawlty Towers that way. Start out anywhere and it works. First skit was the diving board one and I can relate. Not a 10M fan myself. Humans are evolutionarily programmed not to take dives off cliffs or heights. I literally can't do it. If I was skydiving it would take 10 people shoving me or a trap door to get me off the plane. I'm fine with heights, just not predisposed to jumping from them.

I’m with @Drivesaitl. They can flip the script tonight and get back on pace.

Obviously, they still need to address goaltending (apparently they won’t), another defenceman (they should), and forward depth (they should).

But this team isn’t as bad as the past 5 games have been.

What got me was when he blamed the waiter for the spill and then used all the steak he hid away as more evidence lol. Just genius comedic writing that you don’t see anymore. Seinfeld did the same thing.

Fawlty Towers. Probably one of the best TV shows ever.

Oh, Basil…

This was the one that really got me. The way it's shot, their reactions to each other etc, hilarious. Felt like Buster Keaton reincarnated in a way

I have skydived a couple of times (not tandem but solo) and it’s weird because you don’t really get a sense of height because you’re out hanging on the wing of that airplane and the ground is so far away. That was when I was much younger and thinner. Now I would need several drag chutes to slow my descent. I would look like one of the old moon Rockets coming back down to earth with like five parachutes above it.

I’m with @Drivesaitl

I love heights and the views and sensation of being above all else. It’s why skydiving would perhaps appeal to me. But it doesn’t.

Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane???!!

I commend you.

I have a couple of pretty crazy skydiving stories which I can tell you if we ever get together for a beer one of these days and which is why I will never do it again…
