Warrior must mean something different in Germany.

Edit: I see #10 for FRA plays in the DEL - all makes sense now. Carry on.

Check up Eric Cantona:laugh: he is 100x more bad ass than any hockey player even have come closed to!

or Terry Butcher:naughty:

I'm a huge Chelsea fan and love footy as much as the next guy but I'll come right out and say that it's easily the worst sport for acting, diving and embellishment. If you really wanna compare, look up what hockey players used to do 60 or 70 years ago, it was absolutely insane. We're talking about two-handing guys in the head, with no helmets(obviously). Hockey was ridiculous not too long ago as far as brutality.

Well some people in football diving mostely Brazilian,Spain,Italians but the rest not so much tbh... look at brittish football this guy is hard as rocke tbh, and i have never seen any hockey player continue play with an open head fracture like this guy.

And compare wich sport is moste brutaliy i would say MMA by far outclass any other sport... but my point is there is verry hard football players thats not dive and play hard even if your forhead is cut open.

I have seen hockey players dive and i have see football players dive so all this discussion that only football players dive is ridiculous.

He gets barely slashed on the left and he's shaking his right hand. How don't you see that?

I see him go down, clearly holding his left hand with his right while being down on the ice, a pretty good evidence that he didn't get the hands wrong. What happens afterwards is completely irrelevant. While he does shake his right hand after getting up, that could be for other reasons as well, after all, he threw himself down to the ice pretty hard.

It's against the rules at least. Penalties should be given more easily for girly behavior, even if the injury is real. At this tournament, Norwegian player got diving penalty against us which was good.

An NHL player died on the bench and tried to play afterwards, a cut on the head is nothing to these guys, they're sort of crazy. You couldn't pay me enough to throw myself at a Zdeno Chara slapshot. Hockey,American football and MMA have a warrior culture, sports like Soccer,Basketball and baseball simply don't. I mean sure, not all soccer players are divers, but a good percentage are, and they're taught to do that. Absolutely ruins the game and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

With all the equipment i have on me i wouldent be afraid to throw myself in front of Charas slapshot tbh but then again I'm a guy who acctualy pay money to go and get my self beatn up and competingng in Brazilian jujutsu/MMA:laugh:... and there is alot of more players in football thats have died on the field, trust me Football have had their cut of violance and warrior culture.

What i'm saying is there is some really badass players in Football... When you say a cut like that is nothing i really don't think you are impartial in your jugdement.

It's simply not that easy. You can find countless examples of heavily injured soccer players continuing to play. Pretty much all contact sports do have a "warrior culture", it all depends on the circumstances.

That being said, diving is a whole lot worse in football than it is in hockey. It is especially noticeable in certain areas, which usually also add a heavy amount of complaining and whining, which can make watching the game unbearable. It's not like this is how the game is played everywhere though. There will always be a bit of diving, just like there is a bit of diving in hockey, but there is a pretty big difference between some leagues and others.

This is the problem of modern hockey supporters and players.

There used to be a moral code in wich youd get **** even from your own teammates for cheating. Its embarrassing.

With the diminishing of this code my favourite sport is being destroyed.

Oh man, that was brutal.

Somewhat OT but man is MacKinnon ever getting fiesty out there this WC. He looks like he's gotten really strong

Well atleast as everyone dose it i can't see anything wrong with it... would have been a different story if it was only a few.

The player probably embellished it but the slash was obvious. Not a dive strictly speaking, certainly not one of the worst dives ever and not really thread worthy imo.

that was a mean hit on the wrist. maybe the french player sold it too eagerly but he had a strong case to make a pitch here. these dirty tricks go unpunished too often. who knows, maybe his frustration with them had been building up for too long, that're reasons behind that overly theatrical perfomance

Diving has a lot to do with the rules and the way they are/are't enforced. In hockey if you don't go down you or embellish you probably don't get a call.

Similar in soccer but add that you are all but given a goal if you can get a call in the penalty area. The ball should be moved back on a penalty shot far enough to let the keeper have a decent shot at stopping it.
