Even though it's probably about 80 years old now, I still enjoy some of the old Christmas movies and music.

This scene with Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby from White Christmas, impersonating a couple sister gals they've been trying to hustle, still cracks me up. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Milwaukee Admirals getting crushed on the play so far but Matt Murray from St. Albert going 30 for 30 so far. Spenser Martin on the Wolves on face 13 shots but has let in 2 of them.

So in the end Spenser stops 14/18.
The Wolves absolutely dominate the game and go so hard to break the goose egg. Matt Murray of the Admirals stop s 43/44. A .977 save percentage.

Looks like Mitch Korn was right.

I hope this is the correct topic to post this, i assume it is because it will be offtopic for everything else.

I listened to a finnish podcast published day after xmas with Kurri as a guest. Maybe you want to hear what he said maybe not, posting anyway.

First of all every guest in the podcast is asked for their all time lineup with the players they have played, Jari went with:

Kurri Gretzky Tikkanen
Coffey Ruotsalainen
Fuhr

There is a line that you could put me in the 2nd line and still win games.

Another tidbit from the "interview" was that Gretzky never wanted to leave Edmonton (and the bullshit rumors about his wife being the reason they went to Los Angeles is not true). Kurri also said that Gretzky was given an opportunity to back out of the trade just before the press conference that i assume you all have seen, and he said "it's too far gone it's already done we can't call it off now".

Well that's all, just wanted to tell you what Kurri said in the podcast.

For sure he never wanted to leave Edmonchuk, but Pocklington basically poisoned the waters by calling him a "depreciating asset", and losing his shorts in all of his other businesses, so he knew it was time to go.

There was some rumors at least at the time of some cash changing hands under the table, not sure how reliable those are. But what Kurri said and how he said it, #99 was not happy about leaving is all im saying.

Yup. BTW, love the avatar. One of my favs of Gordie. The man was a living beast, and could have entered a few Mr. Olympia contests and did well. No one f***ed with Mr. Howe. And if you ever touched his boys, you were a dead man.

That old bag of bones believed in revenge.
Anyways if you have a chance maybe take a look at the two primary apples by Kakko for Seattle against Utah Powder Puffs last night. Elite level passing.

I own one authentic hockey jersey and it’s a red #9. Signed and authenticated as well. My all time fave. Saw him play live once in the NHL in 1980 when he came to Nortlands with the Whalers. 9 v 99. Your post prompted me to dig the photos out of a box that I have of that game. Great memories.
