You are so right. More concerned of catching the IG moment than helping a fellow human being. Pretty sad eh.

Also, the bolded doesn’t absolve the officer from having to pay the f*** attention when driving 4-5000 pounds of steel. I have zero patience for inattentive driving for personal reasons.

I cut the cops a lot of slack because it’s a thankless, but oh so necessary role in our society. To any officers, fire responders, EMTs and all first responders reading this site, thank you for doing what you do.

My response wasn’t directed at you. It was to the video. Where did you catch the news on this matter? Would be interested in learning more.
Very much agreed on the cop not paying attention, and yes, a big time screw up there. Not sure what the hell he was thinking. But as you say, they have a tough job, and unfortunately, mistakes can happen.

They do have a tough job. Not running over someone prone on the ground while there are about half a dozen people trying to point them out isnt the tough part though.

This isn’t a “mistake.” This is negligence.

Russian court fines Google $2 decillion

I hope this doesn't get flagged as political, but I find it absolutely hilarious that this Russian court "fined" Google for this amount. An amount more than all of the estimated wealth of the world.

It just seems like something Dr. Evil would do if he was in charge of a country.
Nah, Dr Evil would have only asked for 1 million dollars.

Wait till Wednesday
You should see what is going on down here. 200+ candidate supporters set up at an intersection here in Phoenix near my house on Saturday. supporters sat at all 4 corners with flags, signs, music blaring through speakers. When you stopped at the light you definitely were entertained by the participants.

Then, later on Saturday afternoon, I encountered (and I’ve seen these before during the 2020 election) probably a 30-40 vehicle caravan all flying flags out the bed of the truck, driving up and down the Carefree highway between Cave Creek and the I-17. Think Coutts style flags etc.. I only drive a Ram1500 4x4 not lifted, and it’s not diesel, doesn’t have oversized tires. I would have felt inadequate participating. :)

Watching football yesterday was interesting to see who seemed to buy the most advertising during the various games. Hint - she must have raised a lot of money to spend. I would say she had 80% of the ads that were related to the presidency vote.
