Very much agreed on the cop not paying attention, and yes, a big time screw up there. Not sure what the hell he was thinking. But as you say, they have a tough job, and unfortunately, mistakes can happen.You are so right. More concerned of catching the IG moment than helping a fellow human being. Pretty sad eh.
Also, the bolded doesn’t absolve the officer from having to pay the f*** attention when driving 4-5000 pounds of steel. I have zero patience for inattentive driving for personal reasons.
I cut the cops a lot of slack because it’s a thankless, but oh so necessary role in our society. To any officers, fire responders, EMTs and all first responders reading this site, thank you for doing what you do.
