OT: One More Off Topic Off Season Thread

Keith, that’s such positive news. I’m happy for you.

Other than being a lifelong wearer of contacts, eyeglasses and years ago undergoing LASIK surgery on both eyes (which is minor compared to your recent procedure), I have luckily not experienced cataracts, lens replacements and such.

I hope it keeps getting better every day for you. When they say that a picture is worth a 1000 words, its only because of the gift of sight that it is even possible.
The ability to see properly is very easy to take for granted, and once it's done it doesn't come back. Things deteriorated very quickly so I'm glad I was able to get surgery without having to wait too long.

Both my parents were blind for many years. My mom at age 65 and my father in his mid 80's. They lived in their own home until 9 moths before they passed at ages 90 and 95 respectively but it was far from easy! The loss of sight has immense impacts on one's life. Even if you can adjust to it, as my mom did to a great degree, it still impacts things we all take for granted.

I am thrilled to hear that things worked out for you. We may not always agree on things Oiler related but that is really nothing in the big scheme of things. I wish you only the best going forward in this regard!
