So which of these autographed Oiler jerseys currently for sale seem like the best deal and which is the worst?

Fuhr $198.89
Smyth $209.98
Kurri $209.98
Broberg $218.99

Best deal is Broberg, he's a legend among those guys!

All joking aside Kurri and Fuhr are the best bang for the buck.

Spent the day chopping peppers, cilantro, garlic, tomatoes, onions etc and making home made salsa with Mrs Brent. We only got mad at each other once I think. :)

Canning is a test for any marriage. I can attest. I hate doing it. Some people enjoy it. Nice looking stuff.

ps you're just like me leaving the seeds on the peppers.

This was another legend season for gardening. Biggest haul of everything we grew. Most peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Kake, hot peppers, carrots that we've ever had. Two freezers full of veggies.

Today just finished making Grape Jam, GRape juice,

We got so much we're feeding the block again.

Nice!

Will be making pickled garlic in about 2 weeks with a buddy and son-in-law as per a secret recipe and will post some pics then. Works much better working this type of thing with bros and dudes, and perhaps some beer and/or whiskey.

My great aunt used to make awesome pickled onions back in the day. Here they also make pickled mango and pickled ogo/seaweed.

Oooh, I love pickled garlic. Very tasty. Enjoy. Last winter in Arizona I was introduced to pickled okra (in my Caesar). Also very tasty….the okra I’m referring to. :)

I still can’t get over that you can grow grapes in your backyard. That’s awesom.

Send a jar my way!

Did you grow chocolate or another flavor?
haha. Kale. Monster Kale. The size of bushes. One 10ft long row has been feeding the whole block. Easiest thing to grow. Yet you go to the store and they wan't 3.99 jus for a little bunch, the size of a parsley bunch, lol. We must have a thousand bucks of Kale out back. ;)

I say all this stuff to encourage as many people as possible to get into gardening. What a harvest of everything this year. Only thing that isn't a bumper crop is to potatoes but I'm fine with that, they are cheap and Yukon gold found at stores is also good.

Sorry Kale tastes like sand.

Kake on the other hand I can get behind.

Have you tried using it in foods? I don't eat it raw. Incorporate into soups, Lasagna, Florentine Rice, Or made as spinach set with fried onions, cream, broth. (yum) Some people dry it and make chips out of it. Sounds weird but properly done its delicious.

Actually normally I grow Swiss chard but when we were planting we only had a pack of Kale seeds instead so used that. I'm not huge fan of Kale either but works in a lot of things. Also excellent chopped into Curry dishes. From a nutrition pov Spinach, Chard, Kale rocks the body. I think I developed a taste for Spinacn around age 6. Normally kids don't like the taste. Watching popeye cartoons probably helped.

I hate spinach, kale, chard, cucumbers...but I don't begrudge anyone who likes it.

Veggies are my friends. heh. Only ones I don't like are Brussel Sprouts and I can take or leave Cauliflower. Whats your favorite mushroom? ;)

But yeah. I love veggies too much not to be big into gardening. Plus I just like the frugality and independence of growing your own free of pesticides and knowing what you put into garden. This is the real organic, not what the stores sell.

This year I finally gave up on Cucumbers. Most annoying thing to grow. some years its just bountiful and then other years too much rain early and they just start to wilt. Too little water or too much water or mold or.....you'd wonder how any of these actually growed on their own. Its the Intensive care vegetable. Strawberries are annoying to grow as well.

I like cauliflower actually and brussel sprouts are the devils food, yuch. I love mushrooms but only the food kind. I get my high with the odd drink and at my age now I only drink for taste like a good bourbon or rum. Hangovers just take too long to recover from now....
