Pre-Game Talk: One more at home, then on the road again. Vs FLA, @CHI, @MIN, @WPG

When we beat the Jets a week ago or whatever, their fans told me the better goalie always plays the first night of a B2B to guarantee the victory.

Tonight, they’re starting Comrie against the Kings so that they have Helly fresh to face us tomorrow.

Hmm.

"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
-Samuel Clemens.

Yeah, I really thought Hellebuyck would start tonight, specially after they had that big ceremony for his 300 wins before the game. Oh well, we should have a good goalie battle tomorrow I guess, Hellebuyck vs Blackwood

A reminder that no team in the league deals with injuries like us.

No matter how much they cry or complain that they’re missing 2-3 players, here are the facts. We play every game missing at least 5 players, usually 6-7.

But the Wild tv crew told me they're injured and only mentioned our injuries briefly. They told me that injuries are why Wild lost. You're telling me I should believe this chart instead of them?

It’s a 4 pt game.

It's a little uncomfortable to read some of us complaining about biased TV crews from other teams. I don't know why. :sarcasm:
To me Altiboob says dumb shit in a friendly rose-colored glass homer way other crews are homers in a bitter, smug, negative way.

Our shenanigans are cheeky and fun , and their shenanigans are cruel and tragic. Which... makes them not really shenanigans at all. Evil shenanigans.

16 writers were asked to provide their mid-season Norris votes.

Does Werenski being included show that there is East Coast bias in making sure they included a eastern conference dman or does this show how weak the eastern conference dmen are in general?

No, it shows how incredible of a season Werenski has had. If anything, he should be higher.

He’s been amazing this year and has carried a terrible Columbus team on his back into a wildcard spot.

I'm somewhat surprised by that. I've always known Zach to have all the talent in the world but it seemed like injuries have always kept him from puttitng it all together and putting in a solid full season.

I admit, haven't watched much Columbus this year but with them being in a wildcard spot at this point in the season has been a pleasant surprise to me. Although, I have thought it had more to do with weakening/aging opponents in their division than it did with Columbus taking steps forward.
