From a Habs view point, what could be the price to acquire Palat?

As of now by all reports he's not available, Pretty sure that Yzerman resigns him and then leaves Killorn unprotected. Palat means quite a bit to Tampa right now. And with the Bolts and Habs both looking to make a cup run here. No way will Yzerman deal Palat to a divisional opponent.

Bishop is off the books, Pretty sure that Yzerman will try and deal Filppula next summer plus Tampa will loss someone in the expansion draft and if i was a betting man it will be Killorn more so then Palat. Pretty sure Yzerman is more bullish on Palat then he is on Killorn.

A deal around Tkachuk is the only trade that makes sense to me, in order to gain a protection slot for the expansion draft. A Johnson for Monahan type deal sounds good too but doesn't solve a need or problem and would be entirely based on value

It's the same problem with most teams whose fans want to trade for our players: you don't have enough that would interest us and what you do have you don't want to give up. We aren't going to give away a great player for table scraps just because you don't have the pieces to spare that would make the deal worth our while.

Well if he can, I'd be open to trade for him, but then that means Gaudreau, Bennett, Monahan, Tkachuk, Backlund, Frolik, Brodie, and Hamilton are instantly not available.

No to Killorn. 27 years old, just signed a 7 year deal, and has never had more than 40 points.

Calgary wouldn't pay for what it would take to get Palat either.
