Would love him in Dallas. We need a scoring winger, and he'd fit right in with the rest of our Finnish Mafia.

What's the expected return? What are Edmonton's needs?

I'd take a chance on him from an NYI standpoint, not sure on the cost however.

They only have 3 right shot wingers under NHL contracts and one of them is a fourth line staple.

We can't trade JP for just a pick or secondary prospect because neither help the team win today. I'd only consider moving him for a similar change-of-scenery type player, but even that list is small (Gurianov, Kapanen, Strome, Zacha). However I have zero faith in Holland negotiating such a trade astutely because he's lost damn near every trade he's made since joining the team (and arguably for a long while before).

Wahlstrom? Or what would need to be added to get Mayfield?

Oh dang I'd do that. Easy decision.
Negative on Wahlstrom because he's cost controlled and has 20+ goal potential.

Mayfield is a UFA after next season, I am not sure if NYI would move him or what the add would be.
