But literally every single player who's played a game for the Avs this year except for Ritchie, has a positive corsi%. Besides Ritchie who's at 42%, Ludvig is the next lowest at 51.33%.


Just another indicator that the Avs are honestly playing good hockey this year. They just aren't getting any saves, let alone important timely saves.

I’m willing to bet their shooting percentage is quite low as well, meaning their PDO is damn near the bottom of the league.

Blackwood has posted a 914 save percentage in 11 games so far with the Sharks. If the rumors of Avs being interested in him are true, he might be a good option for us

More interesting stats... Out of all the bottom 10 teams in the league for goals against, Colorado is the only team with a record above .500.



I dont know much more clear it can be made that this team would be on wheels with even just average goaltending. They need to fix whatever is happening in net and they need to do it before the Holiday trade freeze IMO.

We have one of the worst PKs in the league.

Fans will say the PK system sucks, blah blah blah.

It’s an age old saying but it’s true; your goaltender has to be your best PKer. You’re going to allow some good scoring chances on the PK, it’s inevitable. You need a goalie to make a save.

I’m usually an eye test guy, but you don’t even need to do that for this team. We are horrendous and near the bottom in every single analytic that has some dependency on goaltending.

There’s no way we burn yet another year of prime MacK/Makar window by not addressing the goaltending. That would be criminal behaviour.
