I didn't think we'd challenge for top 2 in our division, but I didn't think we'd be in the bottom 2 in the entire conference. What an ugly mess. Fire Noelle, buy out Pavelec, and ask Chevy to explain to the entire fanbase why he didn't release Pavelec the day he found out he was concealing a DUI during contract talks.

Utter garbage.

For the record, I had them at the bottom 2 in our division.

Frolik was a noticeable Jet, can't say that for anyonbe else except for Pavs but not in a good way!:shakehead

Anyone else wish he had acquired the Coyotes and Tippet and a winning team.

Pavs wasn't great but it didn't really matter who was in goal since you aren't beating the Hawks by scoring one goal.

Comic-Con had a 3 hour wait to get in so I left, I turn on the radio to hear the Jets game only to hear them let in 3 goals in like 5 minutes. :shakehead

Not a good day, although maybe it's good I missed watching most of it anyways.

What do you suppose the effect on the team is when it's a close game, their goaltender keeps it a tie after the 1st and the guy you're spilling your guts out in front of lets in 4 goals on 14 shots?

They gave him the 3rd star - he had a good, solid game, for sure.

Anyone else wish he had acquired the Coyotes and Tippet and a winning team.

No thanks - while I may question Noel's coaching, I find Tippet's systems boring. I can understand why you'd prefer that though - just not for me.

Games shift on momentum. If Pavs hadn't given up 3 quick ones the game would have been played differently. The Hawks might not have closed things down and let some more chances. The game turned at that time.

It seems like other teams make adjustments during intermission and all we do is stay the course. Outcoached.

Goaltending drives momentum. Had Crawford let in a weak goal for the Jets to go up 2-1 after Pav made a great save, this could have been a very different game.

Those 2 goals in a row killed this team... When you allow 4 goals in 15 shots you can kinda understand why the players lost hope.

Good goaltending makes that critical save and lets your team regroup. We don't get that.

You aren't beating them by letting them score 3 times in 5 minutes either.

I couldn't watch the game, but I'm guessing Pavelec didn't have a great night going by some of the responses.

Whelp...I was pretty optimistic at the start of this season. That's gone now. We need a coaching change and one, maybe two significant trades. We need a real number 1 tender, and a 1 or 2 centre. This was a terrible effort on home ice.

Excuses excuses excuses. You could see the wind being knocked out of the Jets after seeing Pavs let in 2 bad goals turning our lead into a deficit

Who would have thought that we'd outshoot the Hawks (hold them to a piddly 7 shots in the second period!), not take penalties, get a fair bit of pressure in their end, give up hardly any really good scoring chances, play not bad defence and still end up 5-1 losers? I'd chalk this up to bad luck and a subpar performance by Pavelec.

The biggest entertainment there was Greg Millen becoming increasingly exasperated with Dean Brown's inane chatter, hitting a high point shortly after the "Murdoch Mysteries" plug.

I guess that at If the Jets hired Tippett I would be able to save on GCL since I wouldn't bother watching the games.

le sigh...

Crawford makes a couple of huge saves in the first and the Jets could've been up by a goal or two, and then Pavs plays like my grandmother and that's the end of it.

It seems like whatever team the Jets play their goaltender is lights out, yet our goaltender can't stop a beachball at times.

I never thought that we'd be one of the teams to have a horrible DiPietro style contract on our books and the sad thing is that I'm pretty sure management is not going to do anything to get of the bad contract while they still have a chance
