Am also disappointed with Patrick Kane. I know he's an amazing, elite player, but he certainly didn't show it throughout this whole tournament.

Orpik was underwhelming all game.
McD was arguably the best American in the Olympics, outside of Quick.
I'm very disappointed in not winning the gold. It doesn't the Bronze meaningless. Yeah it's 3rd best. That kinda sucks right now. It still beats 4th by alot.
It's just funny that people are willing to throw that game away because McDonagh might get hurt playing in a "meaningless game". And for what? For our team that's at best 3rd best in their own conference? Gee I thought things that were 3rd best didn't matter at all...
I can't believe someone is actually trying to compare Orpik and McDonagh. McDonagh must have played 30 minutes against the best players in the world, and he shut them down for the most part. He made one mistake. Orpik played like **** all tournament against all types of competition. Sorry, but he sucks. I don't know how someone could even argue this.

Qiuick kept the US in this game. Period.
Until today, I was a Brown fan.
My god. He hates offense.
Yep, as i said earlier, didn't look like he could spell intense.
The east is wide open. And i know you won't agree because you're so pessimistic, which is understandable as a Rangers fan, but I still think we have a chance to go deep in the playoffs. Especially with the way this team has been playing.
they have a lot of issues, but outside of Boston and Pitt, there is no team that is much better then the Rangers. And if we avoid them until the ECF (by hopefully finishing third)...then we stand a chance.
So yes, I'd prefer McD to get some rest and come home healthy, same with Callahan, because I know even for third best, they will play as hard as they always do.
Why are you quoting my post. I agree with that. And didn't say anything relative to it.
Yea, Kane sucks and doesn't play well in big games like the Stanley Cup finals. His line wasn't good or anything today...

You said it yourself, "outside of Boston or Pitt". That's the reality. We'll probably go as far as that. As far as avoiding them, it's bracketed by division, so the only way we avoid Pittsburgh is if they're out in the first round.
Sure I like this Rangers team and I'd like a chance in the playoffs, but look at the odds here:
"The bronze medal is pointless because of the very small chance one of our players will get hurt, which will ruin the even smaller chance that we pull a miracle in the playoffs." It just doesn't make any logical sense.
this was me agreeing with you. perception man, I guess you thought I was trying to knock you.
Holy hyperbolic. Who said he sucks? He was just extremely disappointing.
Orpik was not nearly as terrible as I anticipated him being, but I'd say he was at fault on Benn's goal. He should have lifted his stick or something instead of just standing there.

Kane has a tendency to no-show. Without a doubt. He's crazy talented, crazy good, but it speaks to a mental thing that prevents him from being the best. I don't see how his performance in these olympics do anything other then highlight that.
