Prospect Info: Oliver Kapanen, RHC, KalPa U20 (U20 SM-sarja), 64th Overall

Nice

Will probably be in the lineup tomorrow.
Heineman is currently getting an audition with Laine and Newhook, but if it doesn't work out, then Kapanen should be next

Should be Kapanen regardless. Essentially used as a 1C in the SHL. I don’t think he needs to be on the 4th line. Heineman hasn’t done a damn thing since he’s come back from his injury.

I get the sense MSL like the Heineken-Evans-Armia line, so I’m expecting Kapanen will be slot into 2nd line role similar to the Beck trial run

Very curious to see if he will be a changed player after having a successful year as a 1C in the SHL.

When he made the team out of camp, it was clear that it was an eye opening experience. He did well at camp and earned the right to make the team. But regular season is not like preseason, and he was not as ready. But he went to the SHL and has gained a lot of confidence and he also has some NHL games under his belt. So maybe he'll come in as a different player.

He'll be taking #55's spot. They won't boost him to 2nd line out of the gate would they?
Marty is notorious for keeping things relatively the same coming off big wins.
Keep in mind this isn't the same team Kappy played with early this season.

They should trust him. He’s been playing against men for a while and he was great in the preseason. His first 12 games could have gone better, but like you said, he’s a different player today than he was in October.

We’ll find out shortly…. NHL is by far the best pro hockey league in the world and not one for young players unless your name is McDavid, Crosby and apparently Hutson

Of course but at the same time, Heineman has 0 goals 1 assist in his last 22 games. He just hasn’t been the same since his injury and while he works hard, should not be playing anywhere but the 4th line

armias hand is busted i’d replace him over anyone, i know they won’t but he can barely play in the offensive zone right now
I think the coaching staff will have a difficult time telling Armia he needs to sit in this final stretch. Though he’s hurt, I can’t see him accepting it.
