Ilike Bjorkstrand, but it seem he didnt received the same love by Tortorella and now struggle on the AHL. I would like him in the habs

I also saw a limited ice time for Boone Jenner.

I would take them alone or in a package. What do you want? What do you need?

lets trick Torts into thinking Plekanec is a premium shut down centerman capable of still scoring 50 to 60 points per season.
Truth be told the habs dont have much to trade other than their core. I consider Juulsen part of that core as he looks really impressive.

For both Bjorkstrand & Jenner? We're looking at Galchenyuk + Beaulieu (for example - big add) + (Andrighetto - smaller add)

Jenner's one hell of a player & he's become one very quietly.

if the jackets are moving a young 30 goal scorer, they need one back.

Jenner + Bjorkstrand for Galchenyuk + McCarron

are u for real or did u forget the :sarcasm: I sure hope u did if ur a habs fan.

U might not be as high as others on galchenyuk but that offer is like suggesting Gallagher for those 2 which is quite offensive

I'm a neutral fan, I would think the only thing that CBJ is willing to give up big value for is a young #1C or a prospect that has a real shot at becoming one. I would also think that Bjorkstrand's value explodes if he has a good year and only deflates a bit if he has a bad one because of the "sophmore slump" so I don't think he'd be on the table unless the offer was exactly what they needed

The conversation starts with Galchenyuk and a significant add. Don't like the price? Ok, we'll keep our heart and soul 30G scoring winger (who can play C too) and our top RW prospect.

I'm one of those Jackets fans who don't think of Jenner as the perennial 30G type. He's also not a distributor so doesn't add much as a center. You're talking about a 40-50 pt tough as nails guy, which is still pretty nice. Bjorkstrand is a very good prospect but still with a good bit of uncertainty. He might be ready next week, or not, might score a ton of goals in the league, or not.

I'd listen to offers because the Jackets don't have as high a need for scoring wings as most other clubs do, but they also don't need much besides a #1C right now. Where would we even play Beaulieu? So the ask is Galchenyuk, not because the value is right for the Habs, but because he's the only thing that could get the Jackets moving.

This really, really funny.

"Give me your undersized and unproven forward who your coach doesn't play, so that my coach can do the same thing...."

You actually think MT would play Bjork???? :help:

Im not sure who you called undersized but yes, Im MB would trade, his best friend would play him the better way to look great like he always did it in the past.

For me Bjork is ready to have a NHL impact. Ahling him is actually not the best perspective for him IMO.

... Also considering the answers, I would prefer Bjorkstrand alone. You cant ask us Galchenyuk for obvious reasons.

Sometimes you have to wonder why this forum even exists; it is literally the armpit of this entire website. When has there ever been a productive discussion here? Jenner for Galchenyuk ....ffs

Responses like yours are why I love this forum. Also I absolutely love how the OP suggests (option Jenner). As a neutral fan (Caps) at this point, I take Jenner over Galchenyuk and don't think twice. Jenner is an A-@ to play against and somehow quietly scored 30 goals on a pretty mediocre team. Galchenyuk is supposed to be so much better because of his "potential"? Does Galchenyuk score 30 on the Jackets? I doubt it very much, not to mention his Evander Kanesque off-ice resume. Sure you keep Galchenyuk's potential and I'll take Jenner and see you in the playoffs. I don't usually subscribe to the Tough Canadian / Soft Euro stereotypes but these two players may be the epitome of that distinction (which is surprising given Galchenyuk's true heritage). And Bjorkstrand? Yeah I doubt Mtl is going to offer anything that makes Columbus even think for one second on this.

And Galchenyuk isn't? Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of Jenner, but no way in hell I'd entertain this

Habs fan that hasn't heard even the SLIGHTEST rumbling about this, should we file this under stuff you've made up to prove a point?

DSP is no longer a hab, Subban is no longer a hab....for your sake as a fan, I'll hope the culture change is for the better. Don't worry your secrets safe with....well everyone.

Two players on the Jackets scored over 50pts while four Canadiens did. Galchenyuk didn't score 60 with Mtl but he would on Columbus?....yep Ill call BS on that.

Wait, what? The two situations are totally different and not even comparable.

Back on what you said, Galchy also scored 30 goals (and more points) on a "mediocre" team. The Jackets and the Habs offensive productions last season were literally the same. I get that Jenner is more of a character guy that is annoying to play against, while Galchenyuk is more of a skillfull player that will awe you with his hands. But saying Galchenyuk is soft (if I understood correctly) is ignorance. They're just two players who play differently.
