I don’t even know where to start with the f***ing schedule.

Only two Canadian teams left? Stuff them on a Sunday night. Saturday? Who WOULDNT want to watch the mundane and irrelevant to basically everyone in Canada series on that night?

And why not give the Nucks another day of rest?

Game 1 Wednesday.
8:20/10:20 puck drop.
Yup.
That equates to a lot of time off for the Oilers. More than I expected for sure.
Most unfortunate that it gives Vancouver a nice rest as well.

They’re going to need a training camp they’ve been off for so long, league must be trying to get Demko healthy.

As a Canucks fan traveling to Edmonton for this game I wholeheartedly agree!

Guys, the league needs to give Van extra time to rest. The objective is for Edmonton to fail so that McDrai leave and go to an actually "important and relevant" team down south. So obviously it was imperative that they give Van as much time as possible to recover.

Oilers finish series promptly, get disadvantage of a ridiculously long break of one week. Vancouver get just what they want with a Wednesday start despite f***ing up in first round and taking a long time to eliminate Nashville.

No way the game shouldn't be tomorrow. Why Not? Boston already playing tomorrow in 2nd round. This is nuts. basically f***ing over WC so that all our series will end later than the EC FFS teams in the East will have two games done before we even START 2nd round. NHL doing NHL things.

Guessing there won't be any watch parties indoors at Rogers Place. AEW here on Wednesday night and a band in Foreigner performing on Friday night.

Which means I'll be watching the games at home with my family. Much rather do that and avoid weed/cigs/GenZ central from the ice district.

Well, the Oilers rest too, and have some extra time to heal any bruises.
A whole week off is counterproductive. It only serves to cool the team. Nobody wants this much time off in playoffs. 2-4days off between series is ideal. More than that and its getting out of game practice, game readiness. This f***s the Oilers over.

The Dallas Colorado series starts BEFORE the Oilers-Nucks series Despite Dallas just advancing hours ago. . That latter series was decided EARLIER with the teams waiting since Friday. Somebody try to explain this in anyway.

It should be Tuesday, I don’t get why not. Cant be Monday cause there is a concert in the venue. Makes no sense to push it to Wednesday

Both teams are more or less in the same situation.

I'm ok with this remember McDavid missed games late with an injury, he will be fully healed, good for Kane and Henrique as well.

I purchased tickets the moment Vancouver won and everyone was predicting a Tuesday start. My gf is gone Saturday so I purchased a single seat for myself. She could have come Sunday but now I'm stuck going alone and having to get a hotel. I also had game 4 tickets which I was hoping would be Monday since I go back on shift Wednesday. So the Tuesday night also screws me over. The joys and stress of playoffs

Not at all. The Oilers OUGHT to have had the advantage. If for instance the series started Sunday or Monday the Oilers get the EARNED advantage of starting the series fresher. Which should go to the team that ended their series first. Thats how it usually works. But the way the NHL has done this Nucks get the ideal rest time, won't be tired at all, and the Oilers get chilled, no games, for a whole week. A whole week off in playoffs? basically unheard of unless a team sweeps.

Yeah. 2nd round tickets went on sale with dates TBA. We'll take your hundreds of dollars in advance per ticket and then later tell you when the games are. What a gongshow.

I never played hockey, but played quite a bit of competitive soccer. 5 or 7 days of rest is pretty much the same if you train. if it was 10 days or more it would be a different story.
