I can't believe Edmonton is beating this team. I saw the 8-2 shot thing and wasn't surprised. Then I watch and they score two goals...

I always said that Halak and Elliotts stats were massively inflated. If this blue's team doesn't shut it down defensively, they get exposed.

Since the Backes hit on Huskins we haven't been the same team. Came to no surprise to Blues fans that after last night we would lose this game.

Agreed!

You have to start somewhere, and that was about as good a start as you can make.

Hopefully he plays with some pep in his step and doesn't keep pinching and getting caught up ice like he was the last time that we saw him in the lineup. He made a nice stretch pass in the 1st as well, so at least 2 positive plays for him through 1.

I know it's only one period, but if Whitney can get back into form, a bottom pairing of him and Fistric is pretty good.

It would be nice to see Nuge use the slapper to bust out of his slumpish play, not anywhere where he will get smashed on his followthrough by the defense but when he is clear maybe he needs to use the compact chip shot slapper to stir the drink a bit more than he has been. Just raise the stick half-way we want the accellerated version top cheeze.

Yakupov needs to use his positioning without the puck better, he is to EARLY in his getting set for the shot, he needs to be LESS open more of the time on purpose, he needs to dart towards the net backdoor as a fake and then fade back into his original position, he seriously needs to be asked to get the defense and tender moving, the coach needs to ask as he is doing nothing wrong now he just doesnt have veteran experience get on it Ralph, we do not want him to become a stationary shooter, he is to easy to read that way. Just a quick in and back out move once in a while, who knows he might get some sauce with that dart in, he just needs to remember his intent is ALWAYS to fake and not to overcommit and get caught in deep and tied up. This will definately get him a goal tonight, and will open up more options for the guys trying to pass to him for their own shots.

Taylor Hall needs to make a few good old wing rushes like he is so good at, and then mix it up with a pass, the 1st line needs to chat and delegate some of those 50% terminal plays to Halls rushes, some of those o-zone entrys where they are not looking to just set up the two shot play. It would be nice to see Taylor recieving the puck just outside the blueline from those give and gos so he can hit the jets at exactly the right time. No big wind up more of a short snappy power shot. A George Foreman Jab, ha ha ha, out of the give and go so the d-men are stutterstepped when Taylor engages them.

Who are these so called clowns that you want to move?

Right now I would say anyone on the team but Shatty, Petro, and Tarasenko are available. The Blues have shown game in and game out that they don't want to play hockey. The players are lazy and just seem to wallow in our own sorrow. It's pathetic watching them.

This one isn't over. The Oilers haven't been that great at holing leads.

I doubt you want to trade Backes but if the Blues felt the same the Oilers should be all over that.
