Be more disciplined
I mean the officiating has been awful (every series)

How does Edmonton go short handed for getting puhsed into Hill? Hill kept slashing and attacking everyone

Also Janmark slash was weak as hell considering that goes on all game and the refs "choose" when to call it.

The officiating has ZERO consistency in any series it's been bad

Or, be better than what Kane did in that moment to excessively obliterate the goalie.... he knew what he was doing. It is Kane after all.
He was celebrating a goal, then got cross checked from behind when he wasn't expecting it. Since his arms were lifted in the air in celebration, he couldn't even properly brace himself. What, exactly, do you think he should have done in that situation?

This is after Hill throws an after-the-whistle bodycheck on Hyman right in front of the ref. No call on that of course. The bias in this league is flagrant.
IDK if they are bias or just awful at officiating...

The fact the Oilers have only gotten 1 game out if 10 where they have had more PP mins is a bit of a joke. I'm sure Knobs can bring this up later (if he needs to)

LOL says the biased fan who believes his team does no evil....

Both are incredibly dirty, and both are sneaky about it, it is what it is, just accept it and be glad they are on your team.
They give as good as they get, sure, but calling them top-10 dirty in the league almost sounds... what's the word I'm looking for... biased?

So is Hill out there slashing everyone and acting like a baby. These guys are filled with testosterone and are all a little "dirty"
Chill out dude

LOL they are, they get away with their BS more because of the talent....like I said, it is what it is....

Of course, look at the thread.....Oiler Fans...whining about officiating....again..... I should be shocked, but I'm not.

Come back and say that again when it happens to the Panthers.

What am I saying?
I’ve seen a stat that the Panthers are the most penalized team in the league, we fans don’t whine about PP differentials, we just watch our team compete and win, anyway.
Your Oilers team is on a roll and f***ing kicking ass, looking like a real threat to raise the Cup this year, and you’re still focused on whining about the referees. :dunno:

If you're paying any sort of attention I'm mostly just whining about Panthers fans whining about Oilers fans.

Au revoir? Or?

There is something to this. I hate how they seem to get too many in the reg season then none in the playoffs. Be consistent. McDavid is good enough to draw them, just dont call the ticky tack ones al lseason pumping their pp stats, then none in the playoffs.

But m sure this needs further dissection of the games to see if its the refs or simply real calls accurately.

Since the start of the playoffs, the Oilers haven't had a game yet where they have been awarded more powerplay opportunities than their opponents.

This seems like something that would be pretty uncommon over a ten game stretch.

Anyone know what the record is for consecutive playoff games without having an advantage in playoff opportunities?
(Laughs in the 2011 Boston squad). The lowest PP percentage and still won a cup.

Think it may have something to do with Knoblauch. He's probably the quietest coach in the league, as they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease, every game I see the opposition coach whining and complaining all game long and cut to Knoblauch saying nothing.

He's quiet probably to a fault.

In two years I don't think I've ever seen him once really flip his lid over a single call.

NHL ref's are incompetent to begin with, throw in a coach that isn't very animated behind the bench and it's not a great combo. That said 10 straight games of that is pretty messed up. I think in last night's game at one point Vegas had 3 PPs while only having 5 shots on net, and were getting outshot badly, they had almost as many PPs as shots on net, that's kind of bonkers.

And two of those were on the bizarre calls on Janmark and Kane.
