The Oilers released a very basic preview of their upcoming 4th jersey today. Every NHL team tweeted a preview using the same template, so I wouldn't base too much off of it, but here it is:

Not really feeling it, "reverse retro" is a dumb idea, teams should be allowed to just have whatever 4th jersey they want.

It's not a bad concept. I think this one could actually look quite nice on the ice as a full uniform.

I guess this also pretty much confirms that Calgary will be wearing a red jersey? Apparently these "reverse retros" will be worn on selected nights against a rival.

The Flames will have a black "reverse retro" jersey, so they'd probably wear that for a BOA or two.

If we need another jersey we should just bring back the mid to late-90s ones.

Hopefully they leave the background of the logo white. Otherwise it looks fine, though nothing special.

I thought the White/Blue home/away and Burnt orange 3rd was our best set in 2017. That orange was actually the original jersey back in the day and didn't light up the rink like a traffic cone like the current ones do.

They should have done a throwback to the copper and blue era, or better yet the white jerseys from 96/97 which they only wore for one season and are extremely hard to find now.

Its the logo colors that throw the whole thing off, cool it off a bit and it could be ok

I want to see a reverse version of the McFarlane jerseys.. Judging by the orange/white jersey in the video preview, I don't think the Oilers went with that.

Love that mockup except I'd prefer the normal logo over the orange version.

I don't love the idea but of the ones I've seen from the Oilers theirs will probably end up looking better than a lot of the others.

Unfortunately they probably know many people already own a classic blue jersey, they want people to buy new unis.

I wonder what sales will be like in the current covid climate. Many people are budgeting more and can’t drop $200 on a sweater. Beyond that we have no guarantee if/when we will see these on the ice and no opportunities to wear a jersey to watch the game at a pub or the arena in the immediate future.
