Post-Game Talk: Oilers pull out a win in Chicago

Take the W. Get out of Chicago. Not much can be written about this game.

This is the NHL schedule giving us a lame game on a Saturday Night.

MIA report filed on Bedard.

Also, I've liked Perry this year, but you can't have him and Ryan on the same line, and I don't think you can rely on either of them to play higher than the 4th line, so... gotta figure out something. Either move RNH to 3C and Henrique to 4C or remember that Philp exists.

Nothing to see here. Our goaltending is fine.

How old is Rodrigue now? About 23? Edit--he'll be 25 in July.

At some point, you see what you have at the NHL level. This is not to suggest that you trade either of the current guys but this goaltending issue is not going to go away?

Anyway, nice comeback by the boys tonight. Not pretty but I'll take it.

Oilers are very loyal to players but maybe its time to sit Ryan unless absolutely necessary due to injuries. Sometimes loyalty can be overdone. Its not as if he hasn't made a fortune in his career.

Yeah. He’s a great guy. He can be around for the playoffs. But he shouldn’t be in the lineup. Maybe Philp shouldn’t either but it would be nice to give him some looks.

to put in perspective skinner is 26 and he's actually playing in NHL and helped his team get to game 7 of stanley cup final. I am not the big skinner fan but he been close to average to above average.

Our loyalty can be good. But I think it hurts us more than not.

This is a sports team that’s trying to win Stanley cups. Why not see how the young man is doing and if we have something there. And good org would do it. Sure Calvin pickard is liked but this isn’t always about feelings. Due diligence is required

We are lucky we were playing the hawks tonight. They are brutal. Wins are wins though. We take them all even if they aren’t a work of art

BMehW

Oil win with a B effort against a lottery team. Stats after 20 showed a Hawks 2 - 0 scoreboard with the home team with 5 scoring chances to the Oilers 3. Pretty meh but the visitors push back from a 3-1 deficit to score 3 straight to win.

Line 2 looking good. Hyman with a blue paint PP goal. Take the W on a meh effort and move on.

This is from an actual Hawks fan not on this site lol. Must have got hit in the head a few times.

"A BS win on a BS call for a BS team. My guys suck, but, the degree of difficulty is increased when opponents are allowed to slash, dive, and tackle."
That might be one of the worst takes I've ever seen. That Chicago team is cheeks and that fan is delusional. I fart in their general direction.

SCFcontender vs #1st OA pick contender.

Good grief.

Ok. This alone, pulling a great quote from John Cleese is worthy of a like…if I could give you one.
Man at your advanced age I can never figure out how you get yourself in that much trouble. How do you do it ? I can hardly even get one warning at this stage of the game.

Ive never seen that fine young lady before.
Me neither. Who is it ?

How drunk was the league schedule maker when he made up our Jan schedule. Four game roadie, bizarrely against one team from each conference, fly all the way home for one game, then another three game roadie.

The Minnesota Colorado back to back is gonna suck.
