Yeah and to his credit he does try to play his role (unlike Lauzon a lot of the time), he's just not very good at it

He is in a normal system. His skillset doesn't mesh in a Bruno model.

Eh. There's a reason he was basically a league min player until we signed him to a frankly hard to explain cap hit. He's at his best as a 7th D- and he's a good one for that role.

Eh. There's a reason he was basically a league min player until we signed him to a frankly hard to explain cap hit. He's at his best as a 7th D- and he's a good one for that role.

The cap hit is hard to explain at this point in his career. Him as a career 2nd / 3rd pairing player isn't. 60+ games most seasons even with the injuries over the years.

As a real stay home defender he was a strange signing to play in a Bruno led team.
