The things that are wrong with Bouchard's defensive game are generally related to will and focus, rather than talent, which provides some hope for improvement. Of course, getting a guy to set his mind on a problem like this may not be entirely productive if he has shit for brains.

I guess we'll see.

The losses to the Sharks and the Predators over the past week really are grating. Had we simply decided to show up in those two games we're already .500.
Most of edm’s schedule has been against non playoff teams from last year. This team should be at or near the top of the league. Lol

This team would be so f***ed without Bouch. Maybe ok if we kept Barrie.
I actually like the idea of trying to use Bouchard as trade bait with Nashville for Saros and Barrie. Bouch has way more value than Barrie, but we would need to figure out what to add to Bouch to make it work for Saros. And that's obviously only if Nashville is actually considering trading him.

Yeh I’ll get right on that, let me pull out the tapes of every game I have conveniently stored on my hard drive and get to editing just so I can show you the most obvious thing ever.
Most of the mistakes Bouch makes are the kind that might be able to be coached out of his game. I hope that either Knobby gets Bouch to focus on those problems, or some other GM thinks Bouch is worth the moon because of his talent, and feels they will be able to get him to remove those parts from his game.

1) least amount of shots against/60 on the team
2) least amount on HDCA/60 on the team
3) Least amount of sca/60 on the team
4) least amount of goals scored/60 on the team

This is the guy everyone here says is a defensive liability. One poster says worse than VD.

He makes back breaking errors though, especially that awful habit of his to get caught up ice and his crap skating in trying to get back.

We know any kind of odd man rush on Skinner is an auto-goal.

He's a big time defensive liability.

Funny, I compared Bouchard to Poti in an earlier discussion. Jultz is another good comparison. All 3 are the same. Atrocious defensively and soft as hell.

I see what I see. An AHL caliber defenceman with offensive upside.
See my post above. You are just flat out wrong.

I'm not that attached to Bouchard, I don't think he will be here in 2 years if not less than that.

The Oilers gonna pay him like 8 million a year? And Nurse 9? And McDavid 14? And Leon 13? Don't see it.

He'll be dealt for hopefully a nice haul.

Guys, what is your take on McD? I know he probably rushed back a bit.

What is clear, he has lower top speed this year, less bursts according to NHL edge stats.

Then as Button said, he sees a drop off in his ability to handle to puck. Is this all confidence related or does he deal with serious issues, because I don‘t see any game to game improvement.
