I can appreciate it...progressive shouldn’t ever come into the conversation in my eyes though...sports are supposed to be a meritocracy, if they’re the best person for the job they should have it...otherwise see your way out

maybe but clearly it’s an issue within hockey, the maple leafs have recognized that. otherwise they wouldn’t have hired Mark Fraser in that role. Not everyone will see it that way and that’s fine as well.

but at the same time hiring someone who doesn’t face issues surrounding equity, diversity and inclusion will never help you get better at it. A white person probably will never be qualified enough to fill that role simply because it is not something they can speak to or have experienced in depth (it’s not out of the realm for them to experience it, but it’s highly unlikely) and that is something that shouldn’t be taken as a slight. Consider yourself lucky lol

I smoked for many years maybe half a deck a day or so(quit 18 months ago), but I can honestly say, never ever smoked in the dressing room, not even post game

never got high for games either, dumb way to blow a high out of the water

Lucky I didn’t get high but smoked though like I said
Great for you though
